    Two chargers different voltage

I got it figured out. It took a couple of minutes of head scratching. When I disconnected the other batteries it dropped the network connection in the devices and I just had to sync them in the app again. The variation is now only 0.05 difference between the chargers and my multimeter.

    Two chargers different voltage

I changed out my batteries today and put in a single 12v/300ah Li battery. I’m running two chargers, a Victron Solar MPPT 100/50 and a Victron IP22 AC 12/20 (back up). I also installed a Victron SmartSense for low temp cut off. Everything seems OK but when I check the Bluetooth app I’m...

    Anyone seen inside a LifeBlue?

BTW, Greyghost posted a pic of the 200A BMS in this thread so you can get a look at it beforehand so you know what you’re getting into. Good luck.

    Anyone seen inside a LifeBlue?

I don’t have any direct experience with the LB 200a batteries. The case on the 100a is easy enough to open; just remove the small screws in the top that attaches to the base shell (immediately voids the warranty). The BMS is located on top of the cells underneath the top half of the case. The...

Warranty...hahahahaha. You mean a warranty from the company that’s gone extra lengths to hide their true demographics from the public? More importantly, I have two Battleborns on the way so these batteries will be gifted to someone less fortunate than me this summer. I’m also reminded of...

    Anyone seen inside a LifeBlue?

I figured that might be the case. That BMS definitely looks more substantial. More cabling coming off the posts to handle the higher amps too.

    Anyone seen inside a LifeBlue?

Update: I disassembled the battery and did a top balance and the cells are much better matched now. The build quality is actually pretty good and easily serviceable. The configuration is 4S/4P of 16 cells (3.2V 80Wh). Before and after photos show the difference post balancing to 3.65V in...

    Anyone seen inside a LifeBlue?

If that explanation were true then there wouldn’t ever be any need to top or bottom balance lithium batteries and Will could remove his YT videos. Moreover, I have one other LifeBlue battery that’s nearly perfectly balanced (+-10mV in adjacent cells) and behaves completely different than the...

    Anyone seen inside a LifeBlue?

Yeah, I did that with the first battery and that went nowhere. The dealer tested it and said it was bad and replaced it with this one.

    Anyone seen inside a LifeBlue?

I received a replacement battery and the second one has cells even more mismatched than the first. The battery is tripping the HV protection at 3.8V in one cell while the lowest cell is at 3.3V. Additionally, the batteries are only a few serial numbers apart but the date of manufacture is 6...

    Anyone seen inside a LifeBlue?

Correction: It appears LifeBlue is listed as an “Individual” with the Montana Sec of State and not an LLC. This picture shows the mailing address of LiFeBlue’s current Montana state business registration.

    Anyone seen inside a LifeBlue?

My thoughts are I wished I’d never bought them. I just purchased two 100ah batteries and already having issues with one. The battery is throwing a high voltage (3800mV) out of one cell during charging and shutting the battery down; it won’t reach 14.4v and go into float. I took it back to the...

    Help me understand battery variations

That was might thought too. I’ve watched the other battery BMS (normal) equilibrate between the cells by decreasing voltage slightly of the highest value cell and feeding current to adjacent cells. This one just says “nope” I’m feeding this one cell and screw those other guys. I’m thinking...

    They’re new LifeBlue batteries.

    Help me understand battery variations

I’m new here so I’m in learning mode. I just purchased two 12v 100ah lifePo batteries and trying to decipher variations in the charging characteristics between the same battery types. I have one that seems to charge normally (BMS distributes voltage between cells to about 3550mV each up to...
