I'm not sure I would classify a Victron Multiplus as a "cheap" inverter. Either way, it does have a low draw switch that switched the ac to a pwm on low power draw.

I don't think that was electroplating. I think he was just using an acid to clean the copper before rebuilding.

I do 5v ~1A for 30 mins then flip and another 30 mins

I was drilling out the bus bars while holding the bus bars. I snapped the plate off my drill press a few weeks ago. Plus I'm an idiot...

The whole case takes about 3 days to print. I used Carbon Fiber PETG for it so it is super tough.

The studs on these cells were welded on already and it came with M6 nuts. I did break 1 stud off and had to drill out and tap to a M8. This was really tedious as I could only drill down about 3mm but it worked out well in the end. Hand is healing fine.

I used vinegar to make my electroplating solution and it worked well.

Well after about 500 hours of designing and prototyping, here are my results. I also made my own copper bus bars and nickel plated them. Very fun, cool project. Got a battle scar for my efforts!

I confirmed the voltages and the connections. I think the other 3 cells are a bit off because they are trying to balance cell 4.

Good advice thank you. I plan on printing in Polycarbonate and annealing it so it should be very strong. I am just testing the annealing now to see what % shrinkage I can expect. If it works out great, If not then I'll strap them together and leave them bare. ;)

Nice! Yes, that is pretty much exactly what I am setting up. The only difference is 150/100 MPPT.
