Samlex: Dual AC and Solar Controller inputs, BMS Controllable, Fully programmable

Thanks, sounds reasonable Steve. If I was in a fixed location I’d have a bigger generator. I sold all of them. I’m mobile. When I built a shed using my little air compressor the Yamaha 2000 suitcase generator struggled to start the compressor. But when I ran the Yamaha power through the Victron...

Samlex: Dual AC and Solar Controller inputs, BMS Controllable, Fully programmable

Hey Steve, that’s a significant pass through power potential with 30 amp (120VAC) output from your generator. Im limited to 15 amp (120 VAC) output if I use my Honda eu2200i. But if I use the Onan 5500 it could be a much higher charge rate and pass through power. Ive not heard good reviews...

Samlex: Dual AC and Solar Controller inputs, BMS Controllable, Fully programmable

At last I tested the Evo 2224 and it seems to work. It was just a rudimentary test of output voltage and a small 80 watt load. But now am willing to spend the bucks for the control panel. I’m wondering if it has a ‘generator support’ mode? That’s Schneider terminology for the XW inverter...

    DIY 24-volt 560Ah LiFePO4 battery (272x2=544Ah) with Electrodacus SBMS0 and Electrodacus DSSR20

Enjoying the thread of your build. I’m getting ready to install a SBMS0 and need to order the DSSR20 for my skoolie. And I just bought a ferrule kit. Where did you get the circuit breakers?

    Travel Trailer 24v LiFePo4 / Solar / Charger / Inverter system setup...

Some good points for a 12 volt system there. Is Sterling Power the only maker of a 12 to 24 volt DC to DC Charger? My 12 volt loads are minimal and I already have a 24 volt inverter and 24 volt battery otherwise I’d likely go with a 12 volt system. .

Samlex: Dual AC and Solar Controller inputs, BMS Controllable, Fully programmable

Thanks, I’m stoked to test this 2224 Evo I picked up. . It sounds perfect for what I want to build. Am hoping it will work seamlessly with a Electrodacus BMS. I removed the Victron Multiplus 3000-70 because it was a early model without a remote switch or dual AC inputs. Great inverter however...

Am I crazy to put a 1760W solar system on my RV?

Yep, a mini split A/C is what I installed after removing everything from the roof. Was able to fit 2500 watts on the 32 foot Motorhome. Actually it’s a fair amount of weight so if I did it again I’d go with less. It was noticeable while driving. 1760 watts sounds perfect to me. And a DCto DC...

Am I crazy to put a 1760W solar system on my RV?

I’m finding with alternator charging I dont need as much solar. Which is good because my bus is small and won’t fit much solar. I hung one 435 watt panel on the side and one on the roof. It’s working great along with the Kisae DC-DC Charger. But I’m not running a air conditioner. Any sizable...

Samlex: Dual AC and Solar Controller inputs, BMS Controllable, Fully programmable

I just picked up a used Samlex Evo 2224 cheap. I don’t know yet if it works or not. When we put a ohmmeter on the SCC input and the battery input we got continuity. I read on this thread that there’s a 100 amp shunt in the SCC circuit. But I’m wondering if there’s anything else such as a...
