    Decoding the DALY SmartBMS protocol

That would be awesome. I know there are many of us that could benefit from this. Attached a few docs that might be helpful.

    Decoding the DALY SmartBMS protocol

This is awesome work. What is the possibility of expanding this effort in order to enable the Dalys to talk to the Growatt inverters? It seems that emulating the Pylon BMS protocol would be the most practical way. https://github.com/juamiso/PYLON_EMU

Daly BMS, RS485 connection to a Growatt inverter

This thread is also helpful in explaining how to configure the Growatt for proper BMS comms. It seems firmware updates may be required: https://powerforum.co.za/topic/5164-growatt-inverter-pylontech-batteries-bms-comms-guide/

Daly BMS, RS485 connection to a Growatt inverter

Here are two more things that may be of use. The first is from watts247 (where I ordered my inverter) and is apparently the Growatt Protocol document. The second is from Growatt and is a list of compatible batteries.

Diode needed for 48v to 12v converter?

Just be clear, I have no plans for a 12V battery. This is a small Intech camper with light 12V loads: fan, stereo, led lights, USB chargers, and a small 12v fridge. No water pump, jacks, or any other high draw DC loads. I think from the sound of it, I'd be best just springing for the Victron...

Diode needed for 48v to 12v converter?

Sounds like the consensus is probably no diode needed to protect the converter from power coming into the input side from the tow vehicle. Another question for anyone familiar with these types of units is are they generally parallel capable? I would think so. I don't have any large loads like...

Diode needed for 48v to 12v converter?

I am putting together a 48v DIY pack with a Growatt inverter/charger for my towable RV. I plan to use something like this to handle the 12v loads: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ML5ZML2/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_7SS3443VRMKYC9B77DX1 My question is: should I not put a diode on the the step down...

Daly BMS, RS485 connection to a Growatt inverter

Daly BMS, RS485 connection to a Growatt inverter

Got some more info on this chatting with Growatt support. This isn't going to work directly since they don't support the Daly protocol. They sent me a list of supported batteries. There is another thread here discussing using a Raspberry Pi to emulate the Pylontech battery protocol that the...

Daly BMS, RS485 connection to a Growatt inverter

I am looking at building a DIY 48V pack and using a Growatt SPF 3000TL LVM. It's manual has a section on this that looks the same. I'd also like to find a BMS that can communicate with the inverter before I pull the trigger. According to the watts247.com description: "NOTE: These units do...

Bluetti AC300 takes on MPPsolar and Growatt (will a DIY battery be possible)?

Not sure you what mean by 12v water heater. Never seen one of those. You can run all that, but you're never gonna keep that 6 kwh bank charged with a 400w solar panel. A 400w panel will probably keep up with the fridge, lights, and fan most of the time if you've got some direct sun on it. A/C...

    AC300 review is out

Why would you assume wire size is an issue? The B300 manual lists nominal voltage at 51.2 VDC. At around 50V that's 60 amps continuous for 3000 watts. You'd only need 6 or possibly 4 gauge wire for the 5 feet or so length of cable they are using for the connection. That seems very possible given...

    AC200 Max & B230 Expansion Battery

Looks like I was right. The AC300 and B300 manuals have been posted on the Bluetti Facebook group. 30A 120V input with true UPS is available with an accessory 30A cable. I'm also happily surprised that the AC300 has dual 1200W MPPT. This perfect since I need one controller for my rooftop panels...

    AC200 Max & B230 Expansion Battery

Looking at that image again with fresh eyes, I'm pretty sure it says: "AC Input 108-120VAC/30A." Sign me up if that's the case and it works as a true UPS.

Bluetti AC300 takes on MPPsolar and Growatt (will a DIY battery be possible)?

All the pricing details and specs are listed on their website towards the bottom of this page: https://www.bluettipower.com/pages/ac300ac200max $2899 preorder price for the AC300 including one B300 and $1599 for additional B300s. That's supposedly $800 and $500 off the regular prices, respectively.

    AC200 Max & B230 Expansion Battery

I'm particularly interested in whether the AC300 will have the ability to connect to 120v 30A shore power and operate in UPS mode while powering the 30A DC port. This will make it a perfect drop in all in one solution for an 30 amp RV. Just wire in the 30A coming into the RV into the AC300 AC...

    ShunBin Battery Packs: 12V/24V 100AH and up ! A Complete RIP-OFF ! AVOID

Finished recharging my 12V 500AH. From 12.1V resting the battery took 460AH until kicking over to float. Resting voltage 13.8. I did not charge it with high current. This thing probably has around 90% or so of stated capacity. Obviously I don't have fake 200AH (174AH) cells since it's a 500AH...

    ShunBin Battery Packs: 12V/24V 100AH and up ! A Complete RIP-OFF ! AVOID

I received the 12v 500A version yesterday and installed it into my Intech Flyer Explore RV to test capacity. I also have the MPP Solar 12V charger/MPPT/inverter. The battery arrived at 13.4v. I ran it for 10 minutes or so with a 500w load then I set the charger to 14.6 bulk and 13.5 float. It...

    ShunBin Battery Packs: 12V/24V 100AH and up ! A Complete RIP-OFF ! AVOID

I’ve ordered the 12v 500ah version to pair with my MPP all-in-one inverter charger in my small RV. For low temp cutoff I’m going to wire in a high current relay controlled by a 12v temp controller: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MYPTVJD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_So10Db23VKA9N...
