    Round Rocker Switch Housings

I'm trying to find a source for these I have been searching using the terms Rocker Switch Housing/base/mount and multiple other combinations. I've looked all over Aliexpress, EBay, Amazon, and Alibaba. I found 1 on amazon for $7.59 each which seems really high when you can buy a pack of...

Solar Saga 100W panel to Anderson or XT60

I would like to use my Jackery 100W Solar Panel with other devices. I'm trying to figure out what kind of adapter to buy or build to go from the Jackery panel to Anderson, XT60 or SAE connectors. I need a female barrel plug to plug the Jackery panel into, is that an 8mm Female Plug? Does...

    12v Battery blowing fuse

Update: I went through each connection and step of the circuit with a meter to test them. Everything was fine. Then I went to Autozone and bought some quality fuses, PROBLEM SOLVED. I was using the fuses that came with the fuse block straight from China. When I swapped them out the problem...

    12v Battery blowing fuse

The switch and the meter are visible in the 5th picture down, there are two red's and one black going into the back of the switch. The schematic for the meter shows 2 negative inputs and one positive input. I'm in the middle of my honey-do list, I'll work on this as soon as i can and report...

    12v Battery blowing fuse

Thank you for the responses! Since I wanted to handle multiple inputs I used the 1st fuse block in reverse so that each input would have its own fuse. Coming off the input fuse block, I didn't add another fuse as it would effectively be putting one fuse right after another, is that not the...

    12v Battery blowing fuse

Here is a wiring diagram I put together to show how it's wired up. Using a Milwaukee M18 12ah Battery, I get the following numbers with the pump turned on. The meter on the left reads the input. The switch on the left turn on the power to the buck converter. The Meter on the right displays...

    12v Battery blowing fuse

The load is a 24v to 12v 10A Buck Converter which is then connected to a 12v Seaflo Water Pump which pulls 3.3-8a I have been pumping water using this exact circuit. The same type meter & on off switch sit between the buck converter and the pump. I've been prototyping this design for a week...

    12v Battery blowing fuse

1st, I hope I'm posting this in the right forum, apologies if I'm not. I'm pretty new to all of this and have a situation that I need someone to explain to me. I have a 12v 18ah SLA battery, showing 13.4V at the terminals. I have a 12v load that will pull 3.3-8 amps that I want to connect to...

Question about Will's milk crate build.

Thanks for the responses guys! One follow-up question, Instead of using the AC to DC converter to charge the battery, why wouldn't a dedicated battery charger like a Battery Tender or a NOCO be a better choice? The only thing I can think of would be charging speed?

Question about Will's milk crate build.

I see that Will used an AC to DC converter to charge the battery via a wall outlet. What I'm confused about is since the input isn't coming through any type of charge controller, how does the charger know when the battery is full? He said on his first build he shouldn't have hooked the AC/DC...

    Beginner Question

I'm planning on the load pulling a max of 8-12 amps, source be a 12v Battery, or a cigarette lighter power adapter. The wiring will be 14ga with the longest run being no more than 2 ft.

    Beginner Question

Thank you for explaining, I understand what you are saying. In the ( source -> fuse -> wire ) relationship, how close to the source input does the fuse need to be. The distance from the input to the fuse block is about 3" of 14ga wire. An inline fuse seems redundant with the fused bus bar no...

    Beginner Question

HRTKD, could you expand on your post? I'm going to have the following setup Variable input voltage between 12v and 40v -> Fuse Block (the one mentioned) -> Buck Converter 5-40v to 12v > Fuse (inline) > 12v Load If the incoming feed is out of bounds, will the first fuse block not catch it at...

    Beginner Question

I have a fuse block, that has 6 fuses https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X32KGF8/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My question is this...can I connect 3 different 12v inputs to the block and use the Main Pos/Neg terminals to run to my load? I'm using it in reverse to the normal...
