I'm not sure and never will be. What I want to plan for is if someone decides to plug something in that should not have been that the bars don't give me a problem. I want the BMS to do it's job before the bus bars melt or something. I have no problem paying more to oversize everything for safety.

The inverter I have is a 2000w/4000w surge. I originally ordered a 250A DALY but it never arrived. Any recommendations on a BMS to use with my setup? I wonder how battery makers decide what BMS to put in their batteries?

That's what I have been searching on. So far, all the switches have 2 in 2 out. That's what's confusing me. Seems they don't make a 2 in 1 out switch.

Can anyone help with this? I can't seem to find a manual chageover switch that has 2 inputs and 1 output. All I can find is 2 input 2 output switches. Seems like this would be simple to find.

What has always confused me about this is if something expands, it takes the path of least resistance. So, if you compress the sides and the cells try to expand, it "seems" that the top or bottom of the cells would now be the path of least resistance.

I know I am confused. Compress cells or not. Foam between cells or not. Hmmm...

It's way past 2 weeks. The delivery date was suppose to be the 21st. All I can get out of DALY is..... wait my friend, it is on it's way. They sound like a broken record.

I was wanting to get a Blue Sea brand busbar but they seem to jump from 150A to 600A My battery is fused at 250A so I figured all I really need is a 300A busbar. Can anyone recommend a good quality 300A busbar?

Have not purchased one yet. Still designing. It will most likely be a Blue Sea Systems busbar.

If I have a busbar with 6 lugs but have to connect 8 wires to it, can you put 2 wires on a single lug? Of course the busbar would be rated to handle maximum amp load of the system.

Thanks. Did not think of the total left in the working sets. Also the Voc of each panel is 22.3v so we are only talking 44.6v coming out of the array. So if I added one more series set, then the fusing would be needed. I think.

Can someone please check to see if I got this right? I have 6 - 100watt solar panels Short circuit current of panel is 5.86A Max series fuse rating is 15A I am wiring these 6 panels in a 2S3P configuration. My calculations are showing 17.58A is the short circuit current for this array setup...

An inverter/charger is not an option for me. Already have the inverter and I'm not a fan of multipurpose equipment. For some that is a great option. But for me, no.

I went over to the PD site and they are now saying if you buy one manufactured in 2021 it now has 2 stage charging. It holds at 13.6 after the battery is charged. So it seems the lithium one may now be fine. Hmmm.... I'm still confused but getting there. :)

I have seen some complaints about Daly, (in fact I have seen complaints about every BMS) but everyone I personally know that have used them have had very good results with them. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I do to.

Never mind. I had to get one ordered to meet my deadline. I just went on Aliexpress and picked a seller that looked good and ordered. Of course I would have preferred to use a seller that was recommended but ran out of time.
