I heard back from Heltec and they said that the BMS units I posted a picture of are not their own but that they still sell them. They also said that the Amp rating for those (300A) is peak, not continuous. Can someone educate me on the difference? How do I determine what Amp rating is...

Yes I am familiar with them and I have talked to them also. It’s the only battery of its kind on the US market. Counting DCS from Australia, that makes two brands who make automotive starter lithium batteries. Is that it? Any other brands out there?

According to the Vice President of Relion they only make starter batteries for outboard fishing motors and other accessory items. Not for cars, RV’s, etc.

So who makes them besides from DCS Interesting. I contacted them in October and they told me that they don’t have any starter batteries and that their batteries are suitable for House applications only.

Got it! The Cells themselves do come both in 100Ah and 200Ah configurations, right?

No problem! Indeed they are. There's only 3-4 of these in the US right now. I'm not too worried about adding/replacing the alternator. That part I'm more familiar with.
