Shenzhen Jidian Technology Co., Ltd. 272Ah 3.2v cell supplier

I think one of my cells is a runner. Video of my testing setup here, but it keeps shutting down the BMS due to over-voltage. If anyone has any other tests I can try please let me know. I tried draining the problem cell with a car battery, down to 3.3v but it just shot back up again after...

Shenzhen Jidian Technology Co., Ltd. 272Ah 3.2v cell supplier

Yes, I tested the voltage and just got them top balancing now. Here are the voltages I measured from each cell: 3.226 3.224 3.224 3.226 3.222 3.224 3.223 3.222 Not bad, they were all pretty close. I've also attached the spec sheet that came with them and some photos of the...

Shenzhen Jidian Technology Co., Ltd. 272Ah 3.2v cell supplier

I got my cells! Well, 6 of them anyway. Fedex says 2 are coming separately. This is what they look like. Does anyone know what I should do to test these to ensure they are in good working order?

Need feedback and suggestions for minivan camper conversion

I always prefer to think of the battery packs in terms of Wh, because it's a measure of power and because I don't have to figure out if it's a 12V or 24V or 48V battery to know how much energy it stores.

Need feedback and suggestions for minivan camper conversion

Regarding the induction cooktop, I looked into that and decided it would eat up all my power budget, I'm working on a 600W Panel and 280A 24V 8 cell battery pack for a van conversion. I ended up deciding on using propane for the cooktop, as I figured I'd need another 4 cells to power the thing...

Updated Diagram 600W Toyota Hiace System

Update to this diagram in case anyone else is building a similar system. I adjusted all of my gauges and fuses, I think I've got it just about right.

Shenzhen Jidian Technology Co., Ltd. 272Ah 3.2v cell supplier

Ordered 8 cells on Alibaba and am waiting for them now. Anyone use this supplier before? The customer service rep name is Shelly Feng. I went with them because at the time seemed like they were the only ones with stock and could deliver before June.

New battery box for 280ah 4s 12v with lugs on eBay

Interesting. I'm getting 8 cells for a 24v battery and was gonna hook up an overkill 24v 8 cell 100amp BMS. Any advice on just using two of these cases and making two 12v batteries and then hooking them up in serial? I'd have to get two 12v BMS.

400w solaria panel on sprinter van

Interesting. My van is a toyota Hiace and I'm going with a low profile fan mounted behind the panels. Hopefully it won't make too much noise. Also the fingerprints can't be helping your efficiency. I suppose it's insignificant, but it would bug me.

400w solaria panel on sprinter van

Nice looking install. Hope mine is as clean. Those fingerprints though! Guess I'll need to get gloves.

Beginning the journey. A 20' solar food trailer.

The ones in the sheet are the 280AH 3.2V Eve / Lishen cells that are popular. Most people seem to get them off Alibaba or Aliexpress, though they can be had on Amazon as well. Saw them first on https://www.mobile-solarpower.com/lithium-batteries.html. I bought mine but they haven't shipped yet...

Hey RV Peeps - How did you find / select your solar panels?

A great reason to buy things locally manufactured is that it is more efficient and avoids a bunch of unnecessary carbon from global transport.

    Undersized BMS?

Does High Frequency Switching have anything to do with Modified Sine Wave Inverters?

Beginning the journey. A 20' solar food trailer.

That's a great start. I did my estimate with a Kill-O-Watt at each device, and it really helped me size my system. Sounds like you have a lot going on in your food trailer so getting better numbers on power consumption would be critical. I used this sheet to figure out how many LiFePO4 banks I...

    Undersized BMS?

How much is that Inverter Charger? I was looking at Signeer's site and they look expensive to me. You can get a 1500W Inverter and a solar charger separately for about ~$300. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MM4CG9D/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A2WI2LFG1JAJEM&psc=1...

Hey RV Peeps - How did you find / select your solar panels?

I mapped out the roof and then played with different configurations of 100W, 200W, 250W etc panels until I found the right balance. I used this sheet https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CGWZN0BS8lZHftxQt97j15PlwDCcl4FCc7PF5I-M4Fs/edit?usp=sharing To figure out about how many panels of each...

Ah, ok. Looks like these have been around for a while. https://diysolarforum.com/threads/xuba-pre-built-277ah-lifepo4-battery.18058/ Anybody with these, how are they working out?

    280Ah, 12V LiFePO4, on Alibaba for ~$640, plus $170 shipping

Looks like 4x of the Eve style battery cells but comes with the case and battery management. Not a bad deal really, Still more expensive then full DIY but after you add in the cost of wires, the BMS, a case, and all the time, the prices between the two get a lot closer. Especially if you buy two...

What do you think of our DIY wiring diagram? (Did we get the wire/fuse ratings right?)

What did you do this diagram with? Great job on it, I'm still trying to figure out the best way to get all of the information into my diagrams and keep it legible. Do you think the 2/0 AWG wire is a bit much for this system? At under 15 Feet 2AWG should be good for 120A, and 1AWG for 150A. I...

Updated Diagram 600W Toyota Hiace System

Big thanks to everyone who helped me out with my first drawing. I made some updates to the design based on the feedback I got and am much happier with the system. I'm still a bit unsure about my choices for fuses and wire gauges so I may be a bit conservative there. I changed the diagram style...

My diagram for my 600W DIY LiFePO4 van mounted system (First Solar System!)

Help with wiring schematic for 24v vehicle mounted system.

So you want to charge from the Generator and from the Batteries? Have you got the system set up with the panels yet? I'm pretty new so probably can't be much help. But it def helped me out to just put all my components onto a page and start drawing lines between them. Even paper would be ok...

My diagram for my 600W DIY LiFePO4 van mounted system (First Solar System!)

Ah good call. I'll add in a switch. Yeah I tried a lot of different panel arrangments and checked craigslist. Those 200w panels just happen to fit really well on my van. Kinda gnashed my teeth on it but couldn't find another way to fit everything I want on the roof.

My diagram for my 600W DIY LiFePO4 van mounted system (First Solar System!)

I see. Actually, I just picked that battery fuse off of one of the prebuilt systems lists. I'll probably size it down. I'll think about my loads more carefully and then size the BMS/Inverter more appropriately. Almost all my devices are DC with the only regular AC loads being laptops and...

My diagram for my 600W DIY LiFePO4 van mounted system (First Solar System!)

Thanks so much! My thinking with the Breaker/CFGI is that the breaker protects the system and the CFGI protects the humans. Because of the way CFGI detects a difference in the current on the positive and negative lines I thought it would be an extra safety should someone short themselves to the...

My diagram for my 600W DIY LiFePO4 van mounted system (First Solar System!)

Hey DIY Solar Power Forum, really excited to be working on the designs for my first ever solar build. I designed this build to power my office and living space in my 1990s Toyta Hiace. The van is still on its way from Japan and I've already ordered the batteries (Lishen) from Alibaba. Have a...
