I've been thinking of drilling my 100W hard panel frames for airflow and lightness

They will ride on top of a minivan, low on the roof when the vehicle is in motion or in need of a degree of stealth, optionally lifted and tilted when parked where maximum power production is my priority. Today I tested a Reflectix-type barrier between the panels and the roof, which seemed...

    100W panels, 2S 3P vs. 3S 2P

I have a "mobile solar power testbed" (a system in development which is also a lab, for my education, comprised of odds and ends stuffed into and attached onto an old minivan) which, this morning has 6 (most days it's 4, but today is cloudy) Newpowa 100S-12H panels on top. I run a 24V Lithium...

I received two XINPUGUANG 100Watt 12Volt Solar Panel Monocrystalline yesterday. I'm not sure whether to buy more or not.

They popped up on Amazon recently, with no comments or ratings at all, but they were 1/2 the typical weight of 100W panels, which I could use, because my plan is to literally stack panels on top of my minivan (when travelling, then unstack when parked), so, I took a chance. I missed this part...

Too many panels (on a minivan)? Is my plan dangerous? Backstory and XINPUGUANG 100Watt 12Volt Monocrystalline _lightweight!_ question.

(I'm compiling and editing down several comments from the NewPowa thread, hope that's OK) I have four 100W NewPowa NPA100S-12H panels (now out of stock, evidently), which I have been testing, now and then, for a while. I've not mounted panels yet, but, during about a year-and-a-half of study...
