    alte out of business?

It had been rumored for awhile now and then they had some fantastic sale prices a month ago.

This process could be a great advancement in the future.

It would be nice if it worked but due to all the money being thrown around into Green technology it seems like everyone is claiming they have something amazing and rarely does anything come out of it.

The new "My Sol-Ark" App and Migration to AWS is happening very soon.

They never update the inverter unless you request it and if you don't like the update they will roll it back to the version you had before.

I assume you have an active Powerview account. Maybe they have not done all the account credential Migrations yet.

The new "My Sol-Ark" App and Migration to AWS is happening very soon.

Guys I just did a test and I can log into the mysolark web site with my Powerview account info. Of course there is no Inverter data on the page, but it seems the Login info has already been migrated.

Very Interesting Tesla Battery Degradation Data

Yeah :) I really like the LFP graph. It gave me some added confidence.

The new "My Sol-Ark" App and Migration to AWS is happening very soon.

The Old system does not belong to them so they cannot freeze it and they don't have control over how much bandwidth eLinter will allocate for this. See answer #1 It's already fired up. All new customers have been using the new server for a month or more. Sol-Ark customers are not use to...

The new "My Sol-Ark" App and Migration to AWS is happening very soon.

Okay so I talked to my friend at Sol-Ark. Keep in mind he is a hardware engineer and has nothing to do with the Web software or the App. Thankfully he took his time to go over to some of the Coworkers that knew what was happening and he relayed to me in real time what they knew. 1) Everyone is...

    Sol-Ark 15K sell limiter

Sorry I was not following that particular issue but under the Grid settings tab the "High Voltage" setting should be about 15Vac higher than your nominal voltage of (126V x 2) 252Vac then your going to have numerous issues as the line voltage and load fluctuates if it's not at about 267V. I...

    Sol-Ark 15K sell limiter

Yes it does work but the precision with which you can control that amount of power is limited by some design constraints. I suggest just lowering the export value until the measured limit it is closer to what you want.

Possibly true. The story keeps evolving, I guess the plans changed.

The new "My Sol-Ark" App and Migration to AWS is happening very soon.

Yes which is kind of confusing since Sol-Ark told me last week that the migration would happen in phases. I don't see how they migrate over all the users in one day! They first have to update the Firmware in your dongle so it points to the New IP and then you have to make an account and then...

    charging question

You really want to store them at about 40-50% SOC. When they drop to 20% SOC then charge back to 50%. As for the time interval it is dependent on cell quality, the temperature they are stored at and a few other factors. I suggest marking down how many months it takes first time around and then...

    Tesla Powerwall 3 or (1) EG4 18kPV + 1 x EG4-WallMount Indoor Battery | 14.3kWh Capacity or (2) EG4 6000XP + 1 x EG4-WallMount Indoor Battery | 14.3kW

I went the Sol-Ark route. If your going to DIY in Ca I highly suggest that you make sure everything you buy is on the approved list for Ca. If an installer is putting it up then he will make sure that it can pass inspection.

    Panel Cleaning!!

Almost three years and I have never cleaned the panels once. The rain takes care of that. I don't think there is a one size fits all solution for dust, poop, etc. on the panels. It all depends on what kind of weather conditions you have and the slope of the panels. Mine look like new after a...

Very Interesting Tesla Battery Degradation Data

I found this video to be very informative. There is some LFP specific Info at the 4:20 Mark but I suggest watching the whole thing.

    Sol-Ark 15k inverter temperature

I had forgotten about the graphs that can be accessed by the Inverter and other Icons in the power flow diagram. I always use the "Parameters" option so that I can comparatively graph anything I select. DC Temp use to be one of the Parameters that I could select but they have removed it from the...

It would be nice if I was near the inverter a lot, but I go into my electrical room maybe once a month just to dust it out. I pretty much do the same thing with an Amazon Tablet via Wifi. The WiFi tablet is in my Kitchen mounted on the wall.

@TedK I am not seeing this option at all. Can you post a screen shot of your Parameter selection page? Thanks

    RFI issue

This noise I believe is a 15Khz sweeping freq and it comes from the MPPTs. It is not a "Cheap" inverter thing, it happens with Sol-Arks and other expensive brands. Once the Sun goes down the noise is gone.

Getting hot outside - system sizing question

I don't know about the EG4 but I have seen the high end Deye units running and they basically balance the power from the Grid with that of the PV. If the PV drops due to a cloud it pulls any extra energy from the Grid. My installer buddy said something about it also having a mode where it will...

Planning a Sol Ark 15k system for our ranch, after solar company went bust.

once you run the grid through the Sol-Ark you are grid tied even if your not selling back power. I suspect from my previous experience that once your bill drops significantly for three straight months they are going to show up for an inspection.

What are your TOU settings, do you have sell back enabled for 12:30pm?

    Sol-Ark 15k inverter temperature

Yep, it has no temp probe on the DC side of the 15K. I also agree it is probably just a resistor soldered in place. They say that it cannot overheat but I think it is just not needed because the AC and DC side use the same heatsink. A DC probe would just be redundancy. I have heard that it...

Midnight introducing Rosie the Inverter and Barcelona & Hawks Bay SCC

I use that method because nothing else works! I still feel like this thing is designed for a three handed person :ROFLMAO: Someone needs to make a cheap hydraulic crimper with a fold out bracket / clamp that holds the cable for you.

    Sol ark 15k

Confirmed, It is a bug! Hopefully they will fix it for the next update. It's not a big enough issue to cause me to update. I am like 5 versions behind the current version. My inverter is working perfectly so i don't want to mess with the firmware.

Can I sell electricity from my solar farm to my neighbours?

I would think that ROI for a large system financed on the typical measly money the power companies pay will take several decades. That is assuming they don’t limit the sell back to 10Kwh daily.

There is no way to set a lot of the Settings remotely using Solar Assistant. Also the Graphing under PV Pro Website is Amazing. I can graph about 68 Parameters against each other. I find SA Graphing to be kind of kludgy and limited.

    Sol ark 15k

I think this problem of 8Kw at 100% could be a bug. They did some troubleshooting with me and saw the problem. They then said they would get back to me. I called again the next day and they said they are still working on it.

The new "My Sol-Ark" App and Migration to AWS is happening very soon.

Just registering etc won't work. They need to put your serial number in the system and migrate your data over to AWS first. You can ask them but I am not sure if they will make exceptions and migrate over an older customers.

The new "My Sol-Ark" App and Migration to AWS is happening very soon.

MySolArk is now the default system for all new Inverters being commissioned. The update time is still 5 minutes. They say they won't be messing with that until they get some more data to see how the servers are holding up. The plan is to be at 30 seconds.
