I would give it a shot. If you can pull it apart, sand it clean then flux and solder, do it. If the solder doesn’t take right away try 50/50 lead solder, it’s much easier to solder with. I would try soldering before epoxy etc.

I’m pretty sure you mean 8900 watts. 900 watts over shouldn’t be an issue. But you should check with the manufacturer or wait until someone chimes in with a “I did that and it worked for years”.
