    Adding more solar panels

Is there a way to add more solar panels to a system but have the system limit the extra volts/amps if its not needed? I can get my hands on some good used panels and wanted to install some that get sun other times in the day. This would help to get more solar even during overcast days.

4x 6 volt battery cable length

I am upgrading my system this summer from 2x 6 volts configured for 12 volts to 4x 6v staying in 12v. I had the 2 batteries connected together using a 1 foot cable between the first battery - to the second +. Now that I will have 4 batteries what is the best orientation for series-parallel and...

    Inverter selection

I've looked through the first few pages of this forum but cant seem to find a definite answer. I know this is one of those "Ford or Chev" questions and there is not a correct answer but I am looking for opinions on inverters. I currently have a Kisae 2000w inverter charger (IC122055). I am...

Epever 5415an can’t get full charg amps

Upgraded my 40a SCC to 50a so that I could charge my batteries at their rated 42a + run my loads at the same time. My array is 2x 350w in series. For some reason I can only still get the SCC to output 40a, panels are getting 100% sun. Any idea why I’m not getting more?

    Upsize MPPT

My batteries require to be charged at 42amps for the bulk stage (interstate 6v 420ah L16 x2). I currently have a 40amp MPPT epever. Currently I have a dc fridge and an inverter connected to the system which pulls about 7 to 8 amps during the time the fridge compressor runs (runs about 30...

    Battery gravity doesn’t look good

I setup my solar about a month ago and I’ve been slowly learning. I seem to have a strange problem that I can’t wrap my head around. i have a hydrometer and refractometer to test my batteries and both are in the recharge area constantly. This morning I ran my generator and let my...

    Charge amperage

I have a pair of 6v 420ah flooded batteries connected in series with a 30a MPPT epever and 700w of solar. Right now my MPPT is maxing out at charging the batteries at 30 amp. I was told going up to 40 amps MPPT was going to charge the battery too quick and require to have more battery...
