Today both of the outputs from the transformer land in the breaker panel. I suspect this is how it really should be done, just trying to avoid another breaker panel, but maybe it's the easiest path.

I think the real answer is to move the breaker panel to the N. wall in the house and move the breaker panel in the power room to it's on the S. wall. If not I would end up with 2 additional disconnects to be code compliant.

I am an off-grid system that is currently powered by 8 Torjan T105 6v batteries (48 volts). I just got 8 12v Deka Unigy AGM batteries (free). I was going to create 2 strings of the AGM batteries so each string is 48V, then can I connect them in parallel to the T105 batteries?

Actually I have found some 250W panels for a good price, so I would do (6) 250W panels.
