Yes the smart charger did show 14.4volts during absorb (Bluetooth app interface) and also tested with multimeter. And then 13.5v during storage

Excellent insight. Battleborn thinks the same. I bought a Victron IP65 smart charger to try to get the battery to wake up but I think it's toast. Charger thinks it's at > 13.5V yet as soon as I unplug it from charging it's down to 10.5V. I've tried using the reconditioning option as well on...

I'd like to be able to be easily able to remove the protection when I need to access positive cable for manual charging if needed.

On my rv I went to lithium and removed under hood coach battery. I have a live positive cable unused and want to keep it around but out of the way ziptied to a semi safe spot. Taped up the cable end but is there a cleaner boot or cable cover anyone aware of?

What's the rule of thumb on when to use fuses? My rv has many fuses already but if adding a cutoff switch like OP did, you have to add another fuse for the positive to the cutoff?

My '15 Roadtrek wiring is "Quickflex Welding 4/0 Cable 600V" and I am trying to determine what it's rated for in terms of 12v. My battleborn gc3 requires 2 gauge wiring for 20ft @ 300amp 12v. I am guessing my rv wiring is already overkill but just want to be sure.

Apologies I’m wrong on the bms output for gc3. It is 300A output at the bms.

honestly I didn’t look at any of that. Just because of the referral and I have a bunch of other Victron components it seemed like a safe bet

Nice! Sounds like that configuration is better due to more bms output since each gc3 does only 200A output. I noticed the firefly heated version of the gc3 only has 5 year warranty vs the battleborn gc3 10 year warranty
