Force EAsun SMR II 5.5Kw to change between utility and PUL modes.

Hi' there, to the best of my knowledge neither the. REVO II or the similar EASUN accepts serial commands to change the operation, they only react to status read commands, no write commands. That's why we changed into using a completely different Inverter manufacturer, who proved tonus before we...

Battery capacity tester with data logging

Hi' everybody, Atorch make several different variants of testers. The DL-24P is a good tester, but only suitable really for cell capacities below 80Ah, because it isn't able to sustain a discharge current above 16Amp (=0.2C) which is the standardized test discharge current. You can still use...

Force EAsun SMR II 5.5Kw to change between utility and PUL modes.

This is the ones we bought 10 of, on false pretence, as the documentation they sent indicated we could control them over serial input.

Force EAsun SMR II 5.5Kw to change between utility and PUL modes.

Hi' very interesting post you made there. I am not sure about the display you are writing about. I would call our displays pseudo graphics, as the are monochrome and with fixed icons for solar, battery and load. So I would not call them real graphic displays. Is there any chance you can hack...

Watch out for fraudulent LIFEPO4 200AH "NEW A-GRADE" CALB cells

Yes, now it is for sure. But 2-3 years ago it wasn't, and moreover I didn't even know about this forum back then. I even afterwards also experienced problems with a seller on ALIBABA, but finally found a trustworthy seller, that I have now received several deliveries from, without issues on the...

Watch out for fraudulent LIFEPO4 200AH "NEW A-GRADE" CALB cells

I fail to see the relevance of this statement ?!? As I belong to many others that do not have unlimited financial resources, I obviously search the internet for good offerings. You assume that I should know already beforehand, that AliExpress allowed completely fraudulent advertising of...

Watch out for fraudulent LIFEPO4 200AH "NEW A-GRADE" CALB cells

Here is the identification on the "new" shops offering falsehood battery capacities at redicules prices. Shop1102345133 Store and Shop1102321284 Store, which by the way again are the same people behind each of these two shops (maybe more shops, don't know), using the same marketing material, and...

Watch out for fraudulent LIFEPO4 200AH "NEW A-GRADE" CALB cells

Well if you read my postings here on DIYsolar, you will find that I did manage to get some compensation from AliExpress, but certainly NOT thanks to these gangsters, who constantly refused to give any form of compensation, just denying, lying and refusing all Proff presented to them. The big...

    SOROTEC REVO II Factory Password

Neither SORO nor EASUN support setting operational parameters over any input channel, except the front panel. DORO at least is honest about it, but EASUN sends out serial protocol documentation that indicate they DO support it, but as mentioned before they DON'T. Moreover EASUN competent...

Sorotec REVO II 5,5Kw / EASUN( AXPERT/POWLAND) IGRID VE II 5,5KW

Did you get the RS232 communication to work for setting the parameters in the inverter, we can read parameters, but not change them over the RS-232 line. It also seems to have a wifi H/W, but we can't find any settings to activate it ? Best regards Watch-Out

EASUN IGRID VE II 5,5KW (Sorotec REVO II ) GERMANY firmware "Utility Power charging disabled" ?

I can't see any reason why this would be disabled on the EASUN inverters. The ones we have bought has no problem doing SC charging, but you have to consider s couple of other settings as well, namely being in Utility mode and having the Battery full voltage set at a higher voltage than your...

Force EAsun SMR II 5.5Kw to change between utility and PUL modes.

Hi Sebastian, We have 10 identical inverters, with exactly the same problem, and EASUN "technical support" is like trying to get answers out of a black hole, questions go in, but nothing comes out. But to answer your second question: Yes you can add additional external chargers, no problem...

CALB 200Ah so called "Brand new Grade-A"

Hi', well alone from the numbers you have shown here, I can see they are quite old actually. The newer cells (Still not new at all) have production codes of P8xx..... If you look at some of my other threads here you can learn much more about these fraudulent offerings. Anyway CALB stopped...

Beware of AliExpress LiFePO4 Grade A cells from OYE store

Dear Marex, unfortunately your experience with OYE store (Now also called OYEAR store) and the affiliate PWOD store are part of their specific marketing strategy. Lie, deny and lie some more! Calb stopped producing these cells over 3 years ago, so no matter how you look at it, they are not new...

PWOD still advertising CALB 200ah LifePo4 cells as new Agrade

Dear DIY Solar enthusiasts, PWOD and OYE stores on AliExpress (same people by the way) are still fearlessly promoting old CALB 200Ah cells as "New Grade-A" cells, despite the fact that the CALB factory stopped producing these back in 2019, and despite the fact that they are sending out...

    Oye Store Cells, Advice needed.

Please note OYE and PWOD store are one and the same people behind. They are by definition lairs, deniers and cheaters, which I have proven in several postings here on DIYsolar. I can't understand why AliExpress isn't stepping in and stopping them. They and a few others completely destroy any an...

Beware of AliExpress LiFePO4 Grade A cells from OYE store

Hi' you have discovered exactly the same as I have. OYE store and their affiliates ( yes they operate several shops on AliExpress) are a bunch of crooks that will say anything to get a sell, and afterwards deny everything when confronted with evidence that their batteries are more often than not...

Watch out for fraudulent LIFEPO4 200AH "NEW A-GRADE" CALB cells

Well this fact actually counteract the argument. The issue raised is if the cells expand when they then come down in normal pressure closer to sealevel.

Watch out for fraudulent LIFEPO4 200AH "NEW A-GRADE" CALB cells

Well, then they should all be swollen, which they are not. Only misused cells tend to get swollen. However the Alu prismatic cells can expand a little during charging, and should in any case have a 1-2mm isolating thermal transfer foil between each cell, especially when connected in series, as...

Watch out for fraudulent LIFEPO4 200AH "NEW A-GRADE" CALB cells

Yes, it's a problem that AliExpress has not taken this issue sufficiently serious, or not understood or been willing to understand the depth of these fraudulent offerings !?! However one would expect by now, that the cells they send out nowadays, would be of more recent production dates, like...

    AliExpress: Beware OYE Store!

    AliExpress: Beware OYE Store!

    AliExpress: Beware OYE Store!

You will probably find that the really bad one has a QR-code in the P6nn... range. I would expect there will be a couple like that ranging from 149 to 154 Ah, and then a lot between 160-168 Ah. If you are lucky perhaps there is one or two above 170Ah.

How much life is really left in these used cells??

Yes, you made good on that deal actually, and wasn't taken off guard that the cells would be new. I have identified several sellers on all platforms promoting do called "NEW GRADE-A 200Ah CALB" LiFePo4 cells, using almost if not totally identical marketing material, same rhetorics, same denials...

By the way, then they will most likely also be labelled as being from 190827 (YYMMDD) right after the model number on the other label. Will be interesting to also have the serial numbers behind. Both OYE and PWOD Official Store and definately several others are either getting their cells from...
