Has anybody used the Rosie inverter yet for prime time?

@SpongeboB Sinewave boB, are there anymore beta tester spots left? :) ? I'd be more than happy to do some testing for the team..

How to get warranty help for an SOK 48V100 battery?

I purchased a 3 SOK server batteries from a dealer, I had a BMS go bad and Dexter contacted me and shipped me all the replacement parts I needed FOR FREE! I did not buy the batteries from CC directly, and I too thought the dealer should take care of it. Not that they weren't trying to. Dexter...

Has anybody used the Rosie inverter yet for prime time?

@SpongeboB Sinewave That title is correct. It is listed on a couple websites that Rosie is being sold that it does have TOU, but I haven't seen it stated anywhere else. The Midnite website doesn't even mention it. This is why I'm asking. I want to use her for peak shifting and for ESS, so it's...

Has anybody used the Rosie inverter yet for prime time?

@SpongeboB Sinewave How do you set the TOU settings? It is still not in the manual, or changelog that I can find. I'm want to purchase one, but I need this to work. Thanks

    Testing EG4 6000XP AIO inverter.

    What's new in the update?

    Eg4 inverter future

Is the ability to back feed the grid is just software related?

    Eg4 inverter future

Thanks, I thumbed quickly through the manual. Then watched Wills vid, then found this thread.

    Eg4 inverter future

Does it have the same TOU features as the 18k?
  10. R

    Eg4 inverter future

Throw in grid feedback and ac coupling and it would be perfect.

    UL Batteries

I already have SOK, CC and Dexter are a pleasure to work with. He's a real stand up guy. Looks like I might have to buy a Solark now. Better sell a kidney ??

    UL Batteries

@HighTechLab Dexter, what inverter are you going to use to get the certification? Any idea the time frame when it will be done?
  13. R

Conext xw pro 6848 and SOK Rack Batteries.

Since SOK batteries use pylontech BMS protocol, maybe you could set it to that and it might communicate?

Has anybody used the Rosie inverter yet for prime time?

Can Rosie be configured to run off of battery only by time of day? I want to offset peak times. I didn't see it in the manual. Also where does the MNGP2 mount? On the wall somewhere?

Has anybody used the Rosie inverter yet for prime time?

I'm not sure how the magic all works, I would just like it to work. It would be another step towards me buying a Rosie. I did't see any mention of AC coupling in the manual. Would there need to be any extra hardware to purchase? SOK batteries are great, they also use the same BMS as orient...

Has anybody used the Rosie inverter yet for prime time?

@SpongeboB Sinewave Is Rosie going to AC couple with Enphase iq7plus? Also are comms for batteries like SOK and EG4 server racks going to work? In the webinar NAZ did, I remember something about a "com box" for remote viewing. Is that still in the works? I'm looking for ac coupled solution...

    EG4 18kPV Q+A general thread

Ok, I thought that's what you meant, but also thought there might be something else. One more question, if the inverter is turned off, does it still allow the 200a bypass to work, meaning will it allow power to flow through it?
  18. R

    EG4 18kPV Q+A general thread

Export is not a problem for me. I'm grid connected in CA. I'm just using the inverter to cover peak charges and then for battery back up. I'm don't really understand the either off grid or on grid statement. Can you go into that a little deeper?

    EG4 18kPV Q+A general thread

Cool, now I just need to find out if anyone has actually used enphase with this inverter.
  20. R

    EG4 18kPV Q+A general thread

I get what your saying. I'm not drawing power from the line side. Enphase is putting power in on the line side. The supply for the inverter would be on the load side. Wait, I guess it is drawing power. Power comes in from the inverters on the line side, and if the house needs power it takes...

    EG4 18kPV Q+A general thread

Buss rating is 225a. I have 125a main breaker. But if I'm line side tapped, the buss rating doesn't come into play. So I would just have a 60a breaker in the box for the inverter. Way good on 120% rule. As far as NEC goes...

    EG4 18kPV Q+A general thread

I'm thinking of buy a 18k to use in a grid tied back up. I have 30kwh battery bank consisting of 5 sok server rack batteries and one home built 100ah battery. I'm running 32 enphase Iq7+ with 365 watt modules. Line side tapped. I'm in CA on NEM 2. I've read the whole thread and it was asked...

    Circuit selectable critical loads panel

I'm in CA, so time of use. Yes, remove the inverter if needed. On 15k or eg4 18k, the "bypass" will simply allow power to flow through the inverter with it is completely shutdown? My only problem with that, is if there is a problem with the inverter and it has to be sent back for whatever...

    Circuit selectable critical loads panel

I'm confused by what your asking. When there is no PV and I want to use the battery, I am using the inverter? It's not in bypass. If the grid is connected and I have excess PV, loads are powered, battery is charging and it's still running through the inverter. I want the ability to remove...

    Circuit selectable critical loads panel

I currently have a lv6548 running the 120v loads in my house using a pro trans 10 circuit transfer switch. I want to add a sol ark 12k or eg4 18k so I can use my batteries to run my 240v loads. I am planning on wiring a critical loads panel and removing the pro trans. I like that I can easily...

    6kw Hybrid system in California

Well since is "temporary" I see no difference between batteries and a gen set that I plug into the transfer switch. So to answer your question, I do not know. But even if I told the county I doubt they would care. The inspector that "inspected" my solar was a joke. Didn't look at anything...

    Transfer switch

Read the manual. It's 50 amps at 240, or 12000 watts combined. So that's 100 amp at 120. I use the 30 amp switch.

SOK server rack communicate with Solar Assistant?

Interesting, I emailed and asked him if had any complaints about the batteries no connecting and he said no. Also just connecting them to the laptop is a pain. You have to make a lot of attempts and then it will finally connect.

Will EG4 batteries fit in SOK server rack?

Your rack is very nice, but the shipping to CA is $250... That is old of money. The SOK rack is very solid and cheap. But not enclosed... If you could do one for $80, that would be a lot better.

    Master backup battery battery hookup

Any info on the master backup packs on battery hookup? I saw one in the background of one of Will's videos. No info anywhere else I can find. Price seems good. Screen doesn't look that good. No mention of coms to inverter

SOK Server Rack 100ah battery (Watts24/7)

Money vs time, can always make more money, can never get my time back. I've build my own batteries.
  32. R

    Transfer switch

Correct, the six panels are in series/ parallel, ran directly into the lv6548. I have these panels ground mounted right now. I'll put optimizers on them when they go on the roof. They charge the batteries and provide power to just the 120v circuits in the house. That system runs everyday 24/7...

Did you install your own solar? Just wondering why you don't like enphase.

    Transfer switch

At least you have a choice for power. In CA... Well northern CA, PGE is it. In my area anyway. We don't have a choice. The sob story about 60k solar... well, I would just say people are lazy and too trusting. I grew up with encyclopedias... You did your actual "research", you didn't read the...

    Transfer switch

Eg4 and SOK are that price. EG4 UL listed and I'm pretty sure SOK cells are.
