    Current Connected extremely helpful

So being an idiot and new to this, I didn't follow torqueing directions and broke off the bolt on my Victron Quattro inverter/charger. Emailed CurrentConnected and they said it wouldn't be covered under warranty but go ahead and send to repair shop who'd do an estimate before starting work...

    DonRowe.com gets me

Either they are being creepy with my Internet history, or someone took the time to notice my Chapel Hill shipping address, because when I received my inverter shipped from Oregon, this was written on the box. Regardless, it made me smile and I really appreciate the thoughtful people at DonRowe.

    Van Electrical system

I have a van in the driveway, but electrical isn't ordered yet, so not sure I'm qualified to offer advice, but a couple of questions: 1) Is the alternator dedicated or the regular engine one? If additional, you may consider buying a 48V version and getting more juice that way. 2) What's your...

    Low current (30A) MEGA fuses

I was just looking at this today -- I'm assuming a 24V fuse block is also going to be needed for the lower Amp stuff. For example, bus bar will be 5000W inverter, 70A 12V Buck to 12V Fuse Block, 60A MPPT, 24V Air Conditioner. 24V fuse block will be all the < 30A stuff.

    Need Upgrade Advice

He said the space is 180x54. How are you fitting 12 of those there?

    Need Upgrade Advice

Looks to me like you might could fit 6 Rich Solar 200W panels into that space. They are 26.8"x58.7" each. https://richsolar.com/products/200-watt-24-volt-solar-panel

    Prime number issue

Dimensions don't work for van roof. Max length really needs to be in the 60 inch range to fit across and maximize the space

    Prime number issue

I can just fit 5 200W Rich Solar panels on the roof of my van. Would it be better to fit 2 100W+4 200W panels so that I can serialize and reduce amperage? Is a 100/40 charge controller enough either way or do I need headroom in the controller for safety/efficiency?

    How can Current Connected improve?

IMHO, the biggest WP vulnerability is anyone can create one and password mgmt is awful. Saying "WP is most hacked" without context of how many WP sites there are in the world (and who is running those sites) is PR masquerading as useful info. I seriously doubt properly-secured WP sites are...

    How can Current Connected improve?

He's using WooCommerce, which sends the credit card # directly to the payment processor (Stripe in this case per what's on the page). So there's no concern -- CC never sees the #.

    How can Current Connected improve?

I read it as a security concern. Smaller businesses less likely to have strong controls over the number?

    How can Current Connected improve?

PayPal is the absolute worst to deal with as a merchant. I once had $40,000 put on hold for 6 months over absolutely nothing.

Physical switch for Shore Power limit?

What does it take to have a physical switch that toggles shore power limit between say 15A and 30A? I know many chargers have this in their settings/on their remote screens, but how many of them allow control in a separate physical switch? Maybe through Home Assistant? I'm assuming Victron...

    12-24v SC Air conditioner

ymmv, but there are reports about issues with these types of generic units -- noisy, under-performing promised specs, incorrect instructions, and o-rings that allow refrigerant to leak. Following to see if anyone has real/positive experience since the good undermount options are way expensive...

Sanity check and choices, choices, choices...

I'll have a new Ford Transit next week and looking forward to building something we could live in full-time (although reality is likely 6-9 month trips around various continents). The various calculators show me at about 13kwh of draw daily, with 12V Air Conditioning being a big chunk of that...
