I like the fonrich unit but I still have a problem with it tripping . The tigo ts4-A0 optimizers cause bursts of noise about every 3 seconds that cause the fonrich to trip unless the fonrich is set to 127 , which is the most desensitized. Tigo did some updates and I thought it would work but...

I think I know the answer to this but could the dc bus of the inverters be tied together without batteries to allow current sharing / parallel operation ?

just a heads up USE does not use or need the cable , you need to manually enter voltage settings

I had this same situation. I made a cable and it would communicate for a while but then randomly stop . Ended up going to the use setting

I asked MPP again about updates for the Lvx6048 This is the reply “There has never been a firmware updated for LVX6048.”

I would like a copy too please . I asked mpp solar for an update and Peggy said they have never had a firmware update . The support is terrible

Can you elaborate on bridging L1 to L2 please . I put a step up transformer on mine to get 240 from 120 , but it sounds like I don’t need to ?

No I actually re did my wiring , to get the ac and dc away from each other . I actually think it’s a problem in the deye itself . I ordered a 3rd party stand alone arc fault system but have not had a chance to install yet

I’m trying to determine the legality of it . They are calling any connection between an inverter or battery charger to the grid an “interconnection” I thought an interconnection was pushing back on the grid . They are saying any time Solar is on the premises it has the potential to push back...

Our local utility is implementing that anytime you have solar on the premises and a utility meter , net meter or not there will be a 600-700 dollar application and inspection fee

I’m curious do you pay a commissioning to the power company to have solar on your home ? Is your net meter fee and net zero fee the same ? Does the power company have an application process and inspection

I had my 8 “ gutter box nice and clean but when the electrician got gone it was just lacking a little spaghetti sauce

I disconnected the ground wire that runs parallel to the pv wire to the roof as a test . It is the pv ark fault but I can tell it’s from ac loads or switching . If I have the ac off coming into the inverter and then flip it on , it triggers an arc fault every time . It’s not bonded to ground

I have it off temporarily right now and it does work as expected. How about the dc from the battery in the gutter box ?

Thank you both I will try this , I thought I had enough separation but maybe not . I was concerned it was just a flaw with the deye

They are in the same gutter box under the inverters. They run parallel for about 1 foot with 4” of separation

If I leave the incoming ac off to the inverter it will not trip

One particular time is when I turn on the ac to the inverter , It trips every time

It could but I’m not sure how it’s getting there , I initially thought it was going back up the pv ground wire so I temporarily disconnected it but it did not help

I have a deye 8 kw with built in arc fault but it nuisance trips with ac loads switching on and off , Why is an ac load causing the inverter to think an fault exists on the dc side ? Thank you

I found my issue on the f20 but can’t test until morning , I had the 4 pole imo wire wrong , I assumed the wiring was straight through like a relay but not so . Still dint know why there is backfeed from the mppt to ground . Makes the rsd useless

Hi great thread , I’m having the same issue f-20 . I checked the panel polarity before connecting to inverter and it was correct. But while wiring tonight I learned the hard way about backfeed . The panels were disconnected but the deye was on . While wiring in the pv to the mppt I got bit bad...

I tried connecting the discharged capacitor to the lvx6048 but it would never start charging the cap , probably because the capacitor had too low of a voltage level . Even without the capacitor I was impressed with the loads I could start with the lvx6048 with no batteries or grid
