Also, a neat trick for that skylight (I assume it's in the shower) is to coat it with white plastidip (comes in a rattle can). Really reduces the heat in the camper but still lets in lots of light.

I like the second option. Less chance of shading from ac cover. Put them as far from the ac unit as possible.

Current is drawn, not pushed. So the small wires will never see the loads that the big ones are carrying. I have 4/0 inverter wires carrying 325A on the same Lynx as my DC-DC, solar and DC loads. Smallest wire is 8 ga. That 8 ga will never see more than 30A. And yes to your panel question.

Moved the smart shunt to the batts so I could hook up the temp sensor. That allows me to mount the 600A cutoff directly to the other Lynx.
