I like the discussion ... I'm looking for a replacement to my deep well pump. It's been in the casing for 20 years and is due for a failure. It's 220V ac ... and im trying to weigh my options I could do 12v, 24v or 48v ... my lifepo4 8.7kwh battery isn't exactly permanently set to a voltage...

I'm still looking ... though iv changed my mind on configuration... putting 4 panels in series .. their stated as 37.6v open. To reduce cost of wiring at 100' has pushed my change ... Is there other better price point for lifepo4 with mppt charger?

The possible issue might be how far the panels are from the charger .... there is abit of loss in cable runs. 300' of double ought cable from the panels probably cost more than the panels and charger

I use a metal garbage can , lined with cardboard ... then a smaller metal can inside with , again, lined with cardboard. With what I want to protect inside ... so it's a storage box essentially.

14.5v@40A = 580w, 580w = 120v@5a -- plenty close on the math

I had a failure of a Daly bms 100a that I got through Ebay. I'm not sure if it was a nockoff or fraud ... Inside I found sticker stating 40a and 10a --- with text I don't know but I'll guess Chinese. Do this look like black market equipment?

I cant speak to the question of week or strong ... lots of possibilities... You can modify the HP server power supply to output 14.5v if you need to ... the current regulation needs addressed if used only ... im still looking for a good adjustable CC/CV device

Hearing that dual port BMS have different charge and discharge limits is disheartening... I can charge around 4Kw/h from solar and we will ignore the current from a DC generator .... One would hope that a dual can accommodate 100A on both ports

How's the fit? Is there enough room under the batteries for a heating pad ?

Can you use a Dual port BMS as a single port? I have a GridVision lfp-41260 and I have charged through the load port twice accidentally, and stopped as soon as I realized it ... It seems ok ... but I'm wondering if it could be used as a single port

I feel that a much higher balance current is necessary.... rather a resistive load on eace cell ... the bms should use transistors to pass charging current around the highest voltage cells onto the remaining series string .... If the highest cell is 4.3v , 5A is only 21W ... passed around that...

I'm looking for a 10-150A adjustable CC board ... For now I'm charging from 120vAC with modified server supplies... I can set from 12v to 16v easy, but they are 60A and on a small bank 16Ah would be over current ... I found some CV/CV on ebay 300w (ie 20A max ) and set them parallel -- each...

I have seen a 100w peltier generator that is fan cooled .... 4 of these on a wood stove ... I'm interested in DIY too ... my heatsink fins are way to small ...

I thought it was 2.375V per cell ... if 2.5 (10V) is correct for LifePo4 then the cheap inverter i have is working as i wanted ... The recommended Charge voltage listed for my prismatic is 3.65V = 14.6V and i don't make it there, the BMS kicks out at 14.1V ... still need a dang voltage monitor...

Ok ... either my 60A BMS'S have problems or my headway's do ... BMS is tripping @ 10.5v ... I guess I need an individual cell voltage monitor.... also an amp-hour meter ...

Is that fair or 50$ cheaper from India? -- jusk kidding, i don't care from where ... i have not shopped around for prices ...

WEll did find one on EvilBay ... 1300$ for a 2.2K?? EVO2212 ... i don't need it to charge , i already have a Solar charger for LiFePo4 .. humm ... That might be ok untill i have a House ... IDK ..
