I notice on DIY Leaf module powerwalls in the parallel stacks the centre-tap is also connected up in parallel? Would the battery work the same without the centre taps in the 2s being connected? Is it just for balancing purposes and BMS monitoring they are connected in this way?

Thanks for the helpful reply. Yes ISC, cable sizing is no problem, I've seen different values given though for the margin you should have between the ISC of your string and the max input of the inverter. Say isc of the string is 18A and the inverter max input is 18.1A. That's too close for comfort.

I see some chargers for the specific type of battery I have, they will cut off when the desired voltage is reached, but they say only for "up to 200ah" battery capacity, for example. Why does it matter about the capacity of the battery being charged if the charger will cut off at a safe voltage?
