You do not need an all in one. I do use a inverter/charger though however it could also be done using. A regular inverte and reguar SCC coupled with an AC charger. You could use AC relays to turn on the AC charger when your Battery level reaches a predetermined low voltage state.

A 24 volt charger set correctly will work just fine. I have one connected to my generator that I run in conjunction with my all in one. I do have it set to max out about 1 volt less than the AIO since it is not hooked to the BMS.

If they are parallel there is no way to monitor each cell. However it could be possible to put a shunt between the two cells and see how much energy is going between the 2. I have never heard of this but I can't see why it wouldn't work

Yes this is the problem having an inverter or set of inverters large enough to match the grid is very expensive. I said this is exactly what I do but I do not do it on all my circuits. if you want a hybrid system you would need maybe a second panel with only the circuits that you power from solar.

Yes it is a 3 pole screw connector I wrote down 5v but actually it is vcc and can handle more or less than 5v.
