    Lv6548 fault F08 issue

Did you get the output voltage calibration sop.pdf from mppsolar as well? It had the instructions to adjust the voltages on each unit through your computer via the rs232 cable port. The process was similar to putting commands into an old ms dos program, or at least that's what it reminded me of...

    Lv6548 fault F08 issue

I got the program software from Ian at watts24/7.com or usamppsolar.com, I believe he is the main distributor for mpp solar in the USA. He was extremely helpful throughout the process of getting my inverters up and running, but I bought my inverters and solar panels through him as well.

    Lv6548 fault F08 issue

Just an update if anyone comes across this thread having similar issues. MPP Solar sent Ian, who forwarded it to me, some software to fine tune the voltages on my inverters and I was able to get them dialed in to 120.0v. So far so good, all my inverters are finally cooperating with each other as...

    Lv6548

I have 4 lv6548 inverters that I bought from Ian at watts247.com. I've been having different issues for a few weeks that he's been very helpful with, but we have yet to resolve. He sent me another inverter and at one point one of my LCD displays quit working during a failed attempt at a firmware...

Are any of the lights around the LCD display lit up, particularly the fault light? Does anything happen if you hold the enter button for about 5 seconds?

    Lv6548 fault F08 issue

I'm wondering if anyone running multiple lv6548 inverters has run across the F08 fault code, and how they've remedied the fault? I have 4x mpp lv6548 inverters, the first 2 are set up on line 1 in 2p1 and the second 2 are on line 2 in 2p2. I'm having a lot of trouble with the F08 fault code on...

    MPP LV6548 charging

Not yet. I had my system partially setup temporarily, I'm in the process of moving it to its permanent location and plan on looking into it further once I have it setup again. I emailed Mpp solar, they didn't have a immediate solution, but they didn't say that the inverters won't do what I'm...

Should I use solar combiner boxs?

So in your example, I'm going to need, 64 panels, 8 combiners, and 8 home runs for my application, am I understanding that correctly? What panels are you using?

Should I use solar combiner boxs?

Why can't you spilt them? Do the solar panels "push" for lack of a better term, as opposed to the chargers "pulling", like a regular appliance? The inverters will charge from 120vac at 53 amps I think, if they are fed from greater than or equal to that. I plan on having 2x 2p60a breakers to...

Should I use solar combiner boxs?

I have 4x mpp solar lv6548 inverters and each has 2x 250v 18a mppt inputs. I don't have any panels yet, but I plan to wire my system to handle the maximum for the inverters. My array will end up being about 200' away, and I'm trying to understand the use of combiner boxes. Would it be typical...

    MPP LV6548 charging

I appreciate the suggestions, and understand reducing kw usage is the best way to save money and improve efficiency. But, that's not really what i was trying to ask. I'm trying to wrap my head around what it's going to take to keep my house online while the batteries are charging, weather it's...

    MPP LV6548 charging

They are 280ah cells, so if I understand that math correctly, 120a is less than .5c. Im building a house, so i can't really test my usage at this point. I understand I'm best to limit usage, and i don't plan to run at 100% loads for extended periods of time, but the instances where the water...

    MPP LV6548 charging

I'm still working on this problem, I've contacted mpp solar, they want me to send data logs from watchpower after the inverters have been in a while. They haven't said the inverters won't do what I'm asking, but they haven't said they will either. I have a 8500w split phase 240v generator with...

    MPP LV6548 charging

I've changed the settings to what you've suggested, I'll see what it does once my voltages gets that low and let you know. This isn't really what I'm looking for though, I'd like the input to charge when available regardless of the voltage. If the sun has gone down and I'm at 52 or 53 volts...

    MPP LV6548 charging

I do not have solar available yet, but have plans for it. I'm trying to work out some of the bugs at my on grid home with the input hooked to my breaker panel like a normal appliance, before i take this system to my off grid location where I'll set up the solar panels.

This is my thought, and to add to it, if AC output exceeds AC input, it should draw the balance from the batteries.

    MPP LV6548 charging

Dosen't seem you resolved the issue, you just bought a external charger? I have a gas 8500 watt generator I plan on using a 7200w, 240v split phase at 30 amps, until I figure out if I'm going to need a bigger probably diesel generator. I may end up getting a small charger like on your thread...

    MPP LV6548 charging

I expect to charger to charge the batteries with the AC input, while the inverter is producing AC output. It seems that if the AC output load is less than what the input is seeing then the excess should go to the charger and then batteries. Then as the load increases it should start to...

    MPP LV6548 charging

I have 4 lv6548 inverters, and I'm currently trying to learn how to set up the first 2 in a temporary fashion at my current home, before I take them and my 64 CATL lifepo4 cells to my off grid build site with no internet or cell service. I have charged and discharged my cells a couple cycles now...

Batrium shunt trip setup, help needed

With voltage curves being so flat on prismatic lifepo4 cells, if one group is off line for a while and there's even a 20-40% difference in capacity, as long as it's only a few tenths of a volt, would it be that big of a deal to reconnect it to the rest of the packs? Wouldn't the rest of the...

    Overwhelming batrium anxiety

I'm no expert, but happy to share my experience. I used 225a ABB SACE S3N, and I'm still trying to figure things out. It seemed pretty straight forward when I was looking at them, sounds like you know what amp ratings you want and that you're looking for the 24v shunt trip. It seems all the ABB...

Batrium shunt trip setup, help needed

Im having a very difficult time comprehending how to setup my batrium bms, if there's any gurus out there, i sure could use some direction. I have the Batrium Watchmon Core with the expansion 3, 4x Cellmate K9's, 4x 225amp ABB SACE3 shunt trip breakers and 64x 280ah CATL lifepo4 cells. Each...

I'm thinking separate strings, paralleled. Then if I need to remove a string for some reason, I dont loose an inverter. I'll look into that link about the energy audit.

    Overwhelming batrium anxiety

I'm building a new house, going to be off grid. I want to power a 100amp 240v service panel. My thoughts are that I'll use 4x 6000 watt linkable inverters. I'm thinking I'll have 4 separate 16s 48v strings with my 64 280ah cells. - Budget, is not unlimited, but I'm willing to spend what i need...

I have 64 CATL 280ah cells on the way, and I'm trying to figure out a BMS. I'm getting a lot of suggestions to go with Batrium. I'm thinking I'll have 4x 16s packs, and I'm trying to figure out what components I'm going to need to get a working battery up and running? Im thinking the watchmon...

    CATL 271Ah cell issues.

Horsefly, you are correct, I was asking about your mention of Amy, thank you for clarifying. CATL 271Ah cell issues.

You are correct, it's Amy Zheng. I have been talking with her about the catl cells, I would be very interested in hearing about your experience and the quality of your cells once they arrive. Throughout our conversations, she has been very helpful.

    Which solar panels to buy?

Your comments support the majority of the thoughts I have, pretty close to what you are suggesting. It sounds like i have more research to do on 250w panels, but most of them I've come across seem considerably older than the higher wattage panels for some reason, and that's part of what's kept...

    Which solar panels to buy?

Yes, unfortunately I am NOT monetarily rich. I assume I'm going to spend around $20k on a diy system with charger, batteries, inverter, and what not. I don't want to be cheap where I shouldn't, but I also don't want to pay retail where it's not necessary. Im trying to save some money in the long...
