Its not to add solar….its to add battery storage to an already existing system, without messing with the current set-up.

its not really what im looking for.....what i want is a video showing how to add ac coupling to an already fitted string inverter and panels . to add battery storage later down the line if needed. as it doesnt need MCS certification i was hoping to do it myself

there is no hybrid inverter, that's why you do AC coupling....if it was a hybrid inverter, i could just add batteries to the hybrid. To add battery storage to a string inverter, you do ac coupling

Ok….so if i have this right ….for the 300w inverter (300/.90)/12) x 1.25 = 34.7a fuse……so round up to 40a and use 10awg cable

So if the wire is 6awg…..how do i fuse it???

Ive currently got a 120w panel on the arbor roof feeding the poweroak……which is 21.7 voc. so i will stick with that for now. As im hoping to have residential solar fitted this winter anyway.

I have this samll power generator from poweroak here in the UK, Bluetti in the US.... Now looking at the solar specs it states dc14-40v for solar charging. Does that mean upto 40v open circuit voltage, cause the manual says 120w panel and im confused a little bit at what size panel i could...

I only have 1 as stated above, i will move it to the area required, with the required cable in that area. Like plugging it into a socket when you move a lamp around the house…..when its plugged into the office cable, it cant be plugged into the deck cable as its down two floors and outside.

I only have one….its a solar generator from bluetti, you just unplug it moving to were you need it. No isolation required its 1 panel, i generator…2 different charging areas ( 1 x office, 1 x deck)….come on guys its not rocket science

Grounding/misoperation issues??? the panel is charging a bluettie solar generator, as i have only 1 of these, i cant see any misoperation issues…..as for grounding, its not required.

Will find put next week when the extra cabling and connectors arrive……..i cant see a reason why it wont work

I want to use split mc4 connectors to run 1 x 100watt solar panel to two different charging stations ( only 1 station will be used at any given time) will this work ok….. just to re-iterate…..1 panel, 2 sets of cables on mc4 split connectors, 2 charging stations, but only 1 will be used...

So i bought a bluetti solar power bank for running the TV and Sky Q out on the deck. Just got it set-up temporarily at the moment while i paint the outside walls. TV - 35watts SkyQ - 10watts at the moment with a bit of cloud around the 100watt panel is pulling in 55watts, panel is lying flat...

How do you convert amp hours of batteries into watt hours??? So if a lifoepo4 battery is 50ah….how much of that is watt hours and how far can it be discharged??

I doubt i will even discharge that much to be honest…….i may just get a 200w panel for now, so i can use the current renogy controller. im currently running a tv and sound bar off a 500wh solar generator nearly all day when its sunny with a 100w panel up on the deck, as both use less than 50w...

The inverter will be switched off until needed, its just going to be sat in the shed until i need to charge tool batteries. Everything esle will be run off the 12v side….even a little dashboard heater, to provide a tad of warmth of im pottering down there in the colder months. this is the specs...

If i bought this 400w panel….would it be ok to run it on a renogy 20a mppt controller and a 12v 120ah agm battery. im also connecting up a 300w/500w max inverter for charging tools.
