2s2p array one panel needs replacing

"should use Vmp and Imp" Had thought of that too. 370W Vmp 39.66V, Imp 9.33A 340W Vmp 38.20V, Imp 8.90A

2s2p array one panel needs replacing

Have a 2s2p array. 370W. Voc 48.82V, Isc 9.87A 4 panels total. One panel needs replacement. Was going to use 340W with Voc 46.6V, Isc 9.49A So, one string will combine in series the 370 specs with 340 specs. The lowest current takes precedence, 9.49A. The voltages differences of these...

    Combiner min fuse - Isc?

"But you only need the fuse if you have 3 or more PV panels (or series strings) combined in parallel." What if you have 2 series strings combined in parallel? Looks for some clarity for understanding. Thank you.

    2S2P Fusing

We have 4 x 485 Watt panels. Imp 11.49 Vmp 42.4 Isc 12.07 Voc 51.1 Fuse rating per panel 20A We are going to wire these as 2S2P. So, looks like the Total Voc is 102.2V, and the total Isc is 24.14A. The array exceeds the fuse rating of a single panel. Not by much. So, we would choose...

    2s2p and max series fuses!

"Your 40A charge controller is a little small for your 1440W of panels. 40A x 26V (I'm not sure what the charge voltage for SLA is) is about 1040W. So any time your panels are capable of producing more than 1040W, that extra potential is lost. You will almost never get the full 1440W out your 4...

    Fuses between solar panels? Panel>fuse>panel?

If your total array current is greater than the fuse rating of an individual panel, why would you choose a fuse of the same rating as the panel? The current will exceed the fuse rating and blow it out. Ref: https://youtu.be/s1P31hxlD3I?t=129 Thank you. REPLY

    Ratchet Crimper 10 AWG?

We are having issues with the Wirefy Ratchet Crimper when using 10 AWG wire. The crimp won't complete, so having to use the release mechanism to open the jaws. We have adjusted the crimp force, but then the crimp is not adequate. What crimper have you had success with on vinyl or nylon terminals...
