Please help a newbie figure out if I have this setup right

Smooth One other question which I can't fathom, why do inverter manufacturers send such small gauge wire for the connections? my 3000w comes with 21mm Square wire which I believe is AWG 5. I don't get this.

Ah sorry see what you mean. The Phosphate "ion" PO4 is made up of one atom of Phosphorous and 4 atoms of oxygen. The PO is not polonium, thank god!

Believe it or not I have a PH.D! (chemistry) but this stuff get confusing with so many parts to consider. I then look at posts and the advice seems all over the place. 1. So 1/0 wire on all battery connections, yes? 2. This means the t fuse from pos battery to bus bar now has to be 250 amps...

Please help a newbie figure out if I have this setup right

Smooth if you read this I am trying to make sure I understand you're recommendations of cable size. You mean 4 AWG not 4/0 AWG right? Just as I delve more in to this I keep reading posts on here were people are using anything up to 4/0 to connect batteries with a similar configuration to mine 4...

2s2p layout cable question and cable length to bus bars

Please see attached. Are both these layouts legitimate? In terms of connecting the parallel connections does the negative connection to the bus bar have to be on the "diagonal"? I have seen some info that insists this but other layouts that show straight thru so to speak. Also in terms of the...

Top balancing complete (not DIY) 12v 100ah LiFePO4 batteries

So I just got 4 new expert power 12V 100ah LiFEPO4 batteries. I used a 20 amp charger and got them all up to 14.4V (max charge). I am monitoring them as they drift down. But I was wondering should I top balance them by arranging them in parallel and use a power supply to top balance them? Any...

Smooth/Derpsy Thanks folks. So second attempt but still have questions. I have attached the pdf and jpeg. See new layout, notes/questions: 1. I split the battery side in two for simplicity ( I realize batteries don't have 2 pos and 2 neg!) 2. I changed the PV to series, that was an eye opener...

Please help a newbie figure out if I have this setup right

Ok I am confused:rolleyes: But let me see if I can answer: 1. the reason I did 2S2P, is because the turbine is 24V, and therefore I had to make the battery bank 24V? so Therfore the 2S2P config gives me 24V for the PV array? 2. So what should the wire be for the batteries and the inverter if...
