    First lifepo4 + electrodacus build

Ok so status update on my 2p4s eve pack for my sailboat. I've build a battery case with 18mm Thick plywood and threaded rod (nicely packed in heat shrink) to put pressure on the cells. It makes a pack of 66x26x22 cm (lxwxh), which I will be trying to fit into a small compartment of about the...

    First lifepo4 + electrodacus build

Hi all, So i started my first build. A 2p4s 280ah eve build, using the electrodacus sbmsO. After connecting the cells together and connecting the balance cables, the electrodacus started and seemed to be working great. However it doesn't give solid power ratings, constantly changing 0,001 to...

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

Yeah. I did not order a batterybox. Because apperently the box had to be shipped seperately, freight calculated by volume. Meaning price for shipment by sea, was $50 to netherlands. The box was $38. And this was the plastic one..

Xuba Electronics: DEAL - 280AH LiFePo4 cells. Purchase & Review

I have paid $970 /€920 for 8 cells, with shipment, and tax and customs included. Delivery to the door. Got a video with the volts and resistance of each cell. They vary between 0.15 - 0.19 Ohm. Voltages are all exact 3.32. Should i be pleased with these numbers?

Asked about 16cell boxes, here's the reply: " My supplier can provide customization. If it is iron, even one box can accept customization. There is only one problem, if the box is too big, the freight will be calculated according to the volume, the freight will be a little high."

Help with my first DIY lifepo4 system

Ok wow, that is a lot information again. Sorry if i misread things, but i find it hard to use the terminology sometimes. Figured something like that would be the case. But to be sure: Building a second 8S pack and connecting both packs in parallel is the way to go? This is what i find hard...

Help with my first DIY lifepo4 system

Ok, so here is where i stand in building the system for my sailboat. I am hoping at a final check of you guys before i make my orders. - 8 x 280Ah Xuba cells to create a 8s pack. - Chargery BMS8T 1,2A Link - Victron multiplus 24/3000/70/32 (24V, 3000W inverter, 70A charger, 4A starter battery...

Help with my first DIY lifepo4 system

Doesn't the colour control gx monitors all the stuff, a chargery bms does as well, but with a nicer and more userfriendly interface and features? As since the chargery bms has its own controller screen as well, right? Clever one, using the raspberry instead. did you build an own interface with...

Help with my first DIY lifepo4 system

Thanks, i was thinking about victron because it seems convenient to have an ATS, a big charger(70A) and inverter (3000Watt) all in one. However, i was hoping to get a good deal for around half the price that a victron costs, by buying all these separated. Buying on Amazon however, includes...

Help with my first DIY lifepo4 system

What balance do you mean? a battery balancer is build in a battery charger?? in his video's, Will keeps explaining the importance of balancing cells before you build your battery pack. Is this not the case when you have a LFP battery charger? When i will upgrade my capacity and build 2 packs...

Help with my first DIY lifepo4 system

I have been looking voor Giandel, but unfortunately only found those in 12 or 24 to 110Volt, so no good for me. I really dont know what will be the case. I think most of the time closer towards fully charged, because i will be in harbour most of the time. That's why i just thought to balance...

Help with my first DIY lifepo4 system

Thank you sohave much for the replies. Still confused about the N.O relays you are talking about. Not sure where to put them in the system... For ATS and inverter, would you recommend going straight to victron multiplus models like the 24/3000 70-16 for €1450 ($1560 US)? It has high warranty...

And i read a lot about everyone balancing and testing the cells. Offcourse i got the tools to measure the V on each cell, but that is as far as my equipment goes. If all cells are the same, i can just start connecting? And what do i do if they aren't?

So just mount terminals on my batterycase, which connect to consumers?(thinking about using plywood for it. Drill a hole and use bolts to fixe them. No isolation on the wood around? Simple as that?)

Nice, How do they look and feel? Solid and durable? And can you tell if the terminals are solid, or is it possible to 'wiggle' the bolts around a bit? Those, and the quality / real cycle life vs stated on specs are my biggest doubts about ordering. Together with the m6 bolts. Are these big...
