No tictac and I were talking about how many amps the batteries should get. 12v 800ah c/10 = 80 amps. So he suggested a scc to limit it to 80amps. The batteries don't say they are c/10 rated i just said that as a reference. Tic tac said battery manufacturers charge their lead acid deep cycle batteries at c/10. For 24v 400ah bank (8 x 12v 100ah 2s4p) is 80 amps too much?

Ya looks like they can do hydro and wind too. Which usually requires a diversion load i believe. Like a 12-48v water heating element.

It will just "open the solar array" not sure what open solar array means? Won't the panels start heating up. Maybe i'm worried over nothing but it does say diversion loads are used on big solar arrays.

So i'm a little confused. I thought a charge controller stops the battery from being overcharged but it looks like it doesn't unless there is a diversion load hooked up. So it looks like the scc doesn't stop charging ever it just diverts the energy to a different load. Is that correct?

Tin electroplating is cheap and easy. Just need some tin plating solution and then a battery and container. You put the busbar in the solution and then electrify it with a battery. Not sure off the top of my head how the pos and neg are hooked up but its easy.

Well i heard if you have a load on batteries they wont full charge so i can swap back and forth. I'm getting a 1/2/1+2 battery switcher i believe it switches to either bank and 1+2 combines both banks? im not sure but was hoping thats the case.
