    Enphase/Schneider Power Voltage Issues

So... You can add IQ8s to an existing combiner 3 with a little bit of trickery. I retired all my IQ7 inverters in the web interface. Then I added the IQ8 inverters and unretired the IQ7s again. Works fine but they don't show up on the diagram. You can still select them individually and see their...

    Enphase/Schneider Power Voltage Issues

I had to switch to this PREPA 2017 FW60 PF98oe profile and rebalance my critical loads panel a little. I also find that, as stated by ncsolarelectic above, that my loads are not normal but capacitive. I actually put two small 600w space heaters on different circuits so one was L1 and one was L2...

    Enphase/Schneider Power Voltage Issues

I have a Schneider CSW4024 operating as a micro-grid when power is disrupted. The AC coupled solar side is a mix of Enphase IQ7 and IQ8 microinverters. I have no issues when running on grid with AC coupling. Enphase support had me set the inverter profile to PREPA Microgrid FW60. When I...

MPP LV2424 Solar Power Input issue

I fixed the combiner issue by putting a 20a breaker in the box instead of the 15a. I am still curious on whether there is a setting on the inverter that there has to be a certain amount of load to input ratio before providing to grid. I have a work around by putting a constant 800w load on the...

MPP LV2424 Solar Power Input issue

I pulled out my MPP LV2424 to test a few new panels (Four REC REC375TP2SM72) that I received before putting them into my Enphase system. I finally have full sun for the first time in a while and was noticing that they fluctuate up and down. I have them in two strings combined at the racking...

    Gyll Batteries Just Facts.

I must be missing something in regards to this dongle cabling. I have two of the USB adapters and neither detect the battery when I search in BMS_Tools 2.0.6. Here is what I'm doing. 1. Cable wired to dongle as specified in the video (br>D- bw>D+) 2. DIP switches are set down, down, up, down...

Schneider Conext Gateway and Smart Home

I recently installed a Schneider Conext SW4024 and I'm using their insight gateway. Does anyone know if there is a way to interface with it using Hubitat for automations. I'm specifically looking to do some of the following plus much more if I can access the gateway's API. - Tell Hubitat that...

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

Should I try to bump it up from 28v to 28.8v again on the bulk or do you think I'm getting a full charge?

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

Two run downs to 50% and then break to 100%. I think I've finally found the sweet spot. Had to change the battery setting to 160 ah and using 28v for the bulk cutoff and 27.7v for the absorb but it's not using the timer of 15 minutes.

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

So this confuses me... For the battery monitor, try these settings f1.0 Charger Float Voltage 27.2 volts (that is 3.4 per cell which is where LFP cells tend to rest after a charge) If I'm already set to float disabled in the inverter, shouldn't this be set to 26.4v like I have on the inverter?

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

So here is the feedback I got from Schneider since they are finally responding to my case. "During the Bulk Voltage, the battery voltage will increase from the Bulk/Boost Voltage to the Bulk Termination Voltage where the Absorption Stage starts. Please be sure the batteries are 100% charged...

Thanks again for all the information. I'm going to make some of the recommended adjustments and test in the morning.

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

My other question is what is the difference in these values? Which is my actual bulk voltage that should be 28.8v Bulk/Boost Voltage: 28.8v Bulk Termination Voltage: 27.2v

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

Ok, so I read back over the proposed settings and the voltage chart and here is what I've come up with. Let me know where I've messed up as its been a long windy day here. Charger Settings Charge Cycle: 2 Stage Force Charger State: No Float Max Charge Rate: 20% Bulk/Boost Voltage...

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

Here are all the settings that Schneider had me set. I'm going to go back over all the values with what you stated above. My question from the start is setting the sync. Schneider had me set the sync at the battery top end when the bulk stopped. Thats why I think it settled down from 100% to...

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

So now that I have the powerblock in use and charging appropriately does anyone know how to get the Conext Battery Monitor to read the proper SOC for the battery? I synchronized it after the battery dropped down to its normal 26.7v but a full charge only ever puts the SOC back to 62-67%. I...

    Leaking Electrolyte from Bigbattery Powerblock

I'll send you a PM with a spreadsheet that I have regarding all of the settings that I'm using. There is a column with the settings that they gave me but they didn't work completely. It may be something with the Schneider SW more than the battery.

    Leaking Electrolyte from Bigbattery Powerblock

https://diysolarforum.com/threads/schneider-csw4024-battery-charging-fault.18701/#post-217039 I worked with Big Battery for a few hours on it but still didn't revolve it but a couple folks here helped me. I'm still not sure I fully know where I should be setting my top end for the bulk charge...

    Leaking Electrolyte from Bigbattery Powerblock

I was about to mount my first of these BigBattery 24v HAWK Powerblocks when I saw Will's video and was already in contact with BigBattery support about a charging issue. Here was their response when I asked if I could continue to mount them in an upright position. It sucks because my space I...

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

The powerblock only has a voltage meter so I don't know what the SOC is. I checked the last two days since I connected the battery to the SW and it seems to sit at 26.43 to 26.5. I'll set my recharge to 26v for now and see where I'm at. I didn't get a chance to change out of bypass tonight so...

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

I'm also a little concerned about the 26.4v recharge. Is that too soon to recharge again? In 30 minutes its already down to 26.8v just sitting there. Does it hurt to set it low or is that the risk of not having a full charge when you need it?
  27. N

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

I answered my previous question myself. I had the recharge voltage set to 27 instead of 26.4 like you had suggested. What is the benefit of the 3 stage with the float as you noted previously? I do lose power a lot, something like once a week for anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes.

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

I guess my one last question is on the absorption charge. BigBattery told me to set this to the lowest value which is 1 minute. I have it current set to 5 minutes and when I walked away 30 minutes ago it was on "No Float" and now it says absorption charge again. Is this going to be a normal...

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

Ok, so I've come in the middle between GV and GXM. I assume when the battery charge is good the status is "No Float"? I was under the impression the max charge rate made the determination of the percentage of the 90A max rate. I think that is true since I have been using 30% and 50% while...

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

I have the charger turned off until I test the settings again because when it errors charging it drops load. I'll test the settings this evening.

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

The critical loads are fed by the SW. The SW is charged by the grid. Right now the SW is active and says AC passthrough. I have a spreadsheet Im tracking all settings in and sharing with Bigbattery till it's resolved

    Schneider CSW4024 Battery Charging Fault

I'll try your settings and see what the results are. My critical loads are only lighting and my furnace at the moment so I can do testing. Bigbattery said the BMS will protect the powerblock through most of this testing.
