Hey all, Looking for some recommendations for the basic settings for maximum life of the battery. Charged via solar, sometimes mains. Light usage, 12v fridge, light, roof fan. The defaults seem a bit high.. cell voltage high 3.75, balance open 3.5. Any advice welcome!

Thanks mate, I've tried a few different phones, including one it used to work on. Same issue. I've actually bought a drop in cause I needed it resolved quickly, so got it in the garage at the moment, will see if I can get it fixed

Unless the BMS has been shutting down charge because one of the cells has been overcharging, possible but I can't prove.

Yeah that is what worries me, without the BMS 2 of those cells could hit 3.65 easily. I don't have a USB dongle. No blue lights appear on the bluetooth module. I'm still getting power to lights etc so power it still going through the BMS I just can't validate if the features are going to apply...

It's been fully charged for a few days now but I've only just tried to connect to the BMS, the reason I'm worried is because there is a massive cell voltage difference

Pos to neg battery - 13.98 Pos to BMS neg - 13.45 I think o measured that roghty, I just put the negative probe on one of the 3 BMS negative connections

Hi all, my lifepo4 self build and BMS has been fine for about a year now. Recently everything shut down due to a low voltage disconnect, however I'm not unable to access the BMS via Bluetooth and make sure everything is ok. I have unplugged BMS and Bluetooth module, but it still doesn't appear...

Does anyone know what a flashing B means next to a particular cell in the BMS application? Edit: doea it mean it's being balanced? Edit edit: of course it means they are balancing! I might need something stronger as I'm seeing some variation between discharge and charge

Not really, however they don't look like they could take many amps and i was concerned about galvanic corroaion. Everything was from ebay UK, probably cost me £15 all in.

So i tool everything apart this morning and noticed one of my bolts was slighlty loose. I have tightened everything up and attached a separate balance meter. Everything now appears much better under load! Any tips on making sure that the bolts done come loose during travel?

Yes that's right, i just used the voltmeter across tje individual cell terminals and got the same reading at all 4 cells while the fridge was active. Ill connect my balance meter up todsu amd see what thst shows

I'll take the BMS cables off tomorrow and re-seat them all. None of the cables moved during my voltmeter checks, no. True regarding load, but its all I have! It's for my RV so I don't have much in the way of load really!

Ok I've I managed to measure the cells under 4amp load and they all return 3.30v, so they appear to be matched even under load. Does this mean that there might be a connection issue going into my BMS?

Good idea, I could use a multimeter across that cell - I can do that. I'll report back

Hey @terry82517 - All I did on the BMS was change the temperate to 2 to help with charging below freezing. I didn't change anything else!
