    Electrolyte flowing inside LiFePO4 cell

I thought it was supposed to be a paste/gel not watery liquid.

    Electrolyte flowing inside LiFePO4 cell

I tried finding a thread abut this. Does anybody remember where it was?

    Electrolyte flowing inside LiFePO4 cell

But seriously, is this normal? The smaller capacity cells I had before did not do this.

    Electrolyte flowing inside LiFePO4 cell

Entertaining but not helpful in my situation. This flow is audible with no amplifier. Like a small waterfall inside.

    Electrolyte flowing inside LiFePO4 cell

I have EVE LF280K cells and as I rotate the cell, I am hearing fluid (electrolyte) flowing inside. Is this normal for these cells? If not, what could be causing this? The cells just arrived so I have not tested capacity yet. I don't see any physical damage to the cells either.

Their whole store is full of cheap cells with re-branded capacity at 80% original but none of the cells are in stock. They magically can offer new cells...

    Single Cell AH limit

Interesting R&D but we may be reaching the point of diminishing returns. Cost of cell will be rising faster than the benefits gained from the newer technologies. I am still wondering about the physical size limits of cells. I remember when breaking 100Ah was newsworthy. Aluminum case cells have...

    Single Cell AH limit

Although I can't comment on the limits of this battery chemistry, I think that max capacity may be limited for practical reasons. I would suspect that larger capacity cells will have to be compressed pretty hard to keep them from swelling. Even the shorter walls may need to be compressed when...
