Jackery - can you output form AC and DC simultaneously?

Yes, I can confirm Ely's comment. I have the Jackery 1000 and it does exactly as he said.

Building your own battery pack - Jackery 500 Explorer

Welcome and thanks for your post. The 500 cycles threshold you mentioned is the point beyond which the pack drops to 80% of its original capacity. Yes, it's a hit, but not as dire as one might think. Also, the life of the battery pack depends upon what constitutes an average cycle of the...

Montek X-1000: another misleading IGG campaign

Thanks for digging deeper into this new campaign. Interestingly enough, HOBOTECH mentioned in his video that getting in on the early bird price of $549 was a "no-brainer". Thanks for noting the Alibaba price comparison. Either HOBOTECH wasn't aware of it or chose to ignore it. As has been...

    Solar Generator Crowdfunding

I totally agree with your points, Steve. Let's fund the little guys.

    Omni Off-grid (1500Wh, 100W USB-C, 1500W inverter)

So risk-tolerance emerges as a key factor in purchase decisions when I read over the posts in this thread. The low price for campaign backers is very tempting, but overall the old adage "you get what you pay for" seems more often true than false in the solar generator marketplace. It's not a...

Leoch Power Generator 2048Wh Capacity, 2000watt inverter $1059 USD

Thanks for your investigative reporting. It seems the high interest in solar generators lately has resulted in a flurry of products hitting the market. Initial quality and after sale support need to be considered along with attractive specs as different companies try to one up each other. Nice...

Sun, thanks for the tip about the extended warranty offered by Amazon. I'll keep it in mind for future purchases.

Leoch Power Generator 2048Wh Capacity, 2000watt inverter $1059 USD

Good suggestion. I ended up buying a Jackery 1000 mostly because I had higher confidence in their customer service. It is definitely a significant factor to consider in anyone's buying decision.

Best Range of State of Charge to Ensure Long Life of Jackery 1000

I was fortunate when I had my system installed that the installer did all the wrestling with permits and bureaucracy. Hope you can find your way through that forest!

Best Range of State of Charge to Ensure Long Life of Jackery 1000

Thanks for the clarification. Before I got married a year ago, I had a grid-intertied 5KW system on my house. No batteries though. Good luck with your system. I'm jealous! Our house has way too much shade from neighbors' trees.

Best Range of State of Charge to Ensure Long Life of Jackery 1000

Thanks for the charging advice. Is the 20-80% an established practice that is backed up by some science or just what many folks have decided to do? Appreciate your weighing in on this;)

Best Range of State of Charge to Ensure Long Life of Jackery 1000

Just acquired a Jackery 1000. What is the best practice regarding what charge level to maintain in this unit? I've come across statements that "dendrites" form more readily in li-on batteries if the battery pack is maintained at 100% and the formation of these structures in the battery reduce...

    Bluetti AC200 & AC50S

"Shady" may have been too harsh. "Byzantine" or "not-very-intuitive" might be more accurate. I had signed up for the biggie discount via their website and responded via the email they sent to me as I mentioned. I understand if deals sell out (like concert tickets!), the notion that there are...

    Bluetti AC200 & AC50S

I tried this morning at 10:25 AM EST and was unable to get the $999 price. Yet I see others in this thread saying there were slots available at that price as late as 7PM. Whole arrangement sounds really bogus is you have to stumble onto some "secret" link to get the advertised early bird discount.

Thanks, Ely. Sorry to hear about your trouble with Ecoflow product.

Support after the Sale — Bluetti, Ecoflow, Titan

Very much appreciate your thoughtful reply. Will take your recommendations to heart. On the money question, As you mentioned in your post, I too tend to assume that the lowest price is not necessarily the best deal if you consider you're more likely to get marginal support at the lower price...

Support after the Sale — Bluetti, Ecoflow, Titan

Like many of the folks posting here, I'm trying to decide on which solar generator to purchase. There's more than enough info here about the specs I care about. What gets fuzzy is rating what sort of response time and quality of after sale support I can expect from these different manufacturers...

    Titan Solar Generator

How is it that some people get prompt replies from the company and others report making calls and not getting even an answering machine or long delayed responses to emails? Leaves me wondering if this is a reputable company? On paper, the product looks great, but, for the purchase price, I'd...

I am looking forward to Will doing a full review of a production model of the Titan. I would welcome a comparison review to the Solar Geni also.
