What's the official opinion from the experts when it comes to daily charging LiFePO4 to 100%?

I feel like this is a topic that's been beaten to death for years but I'm not finding much about it anywhere. Does battleborn recommend charging their batteries to 100% daily? Is a full 100% discharge cycle the same as discharging from 80% to 30% twice? Should I set my solar generator to...

Best way to charge a solar generator from a 12V LiFePO4 battery?

The LiFePO4 battery is a Lion Energy UT1300. The solar generators are the Ecoflow Delta, R600 and Bluetti AC200.

Best way to charge a solar generator from a 12V LiFePO4 battery?

Can I just connect a 12V LiFePO4 battery to the DC input of a solar generator? Do I need a DC to DC converter or anything else?

Lion Energy UT1300 at Costco again, why buy them?

It's not just the warranty. It's the lifetime charge cycles. LiFePO4 is 3000-5000 to 80% SoC. Lead acid is...300? There's also the half the weight and size benefit. If you do the math based on life expectancy, LiFePO4 is actually cheaper if you can such up the initial cost.

Thank you again. I guess I'll be upgrading my SCC.

    Solar charge controller calculator

Thank you. I wasn't able to find that online. I entered -80 (or -90?) on the calculator for the V temp coeff and that's apparently incorrect because all recommended SCCs disappear from the list once I do that. Does PV Module temperature [°C]: just mean to enter the lowest and highest possible...

    Solar charge controller calculator

I want to do a big upgrade to my little RV solar setup. I bought 4 Lion Energy UT1300s. Trying to figure how many panels my Renogy Rover 30A can handle or if I need to sell it and upgrade. Here's the panel specs. I don't understand what this calculator is asking for the Temp coeff & PV Module...

    EcoFlow DELTA 1300 (Plug-N-Play)

That's interesting but what I can't find is the voltage range for solar. 25A seems very high. 300W is lower than the Delta but no mention of voltage. ? The battery cycle life is way better than the Delta but it weighs DOUBLE! 62lbs. Yikes.

Lion Energy UT1300 at Costco again

I was pretty close to pulling the trigger last night. Spent hours watching videos and reading. Went back this morning to grab at least a pair and POOF! They're gone. Maybe Battleborn will have some black friday sales this year?

Any magnetic mounts for solar panels?

Going to need more than 6 minutes. :geek:

Any magnetic mounts for solar panels?

Since the rigid panels I'm looking at using have an aluminum frame, I was going to add some standard solar panel mounting brackets to the panels and then attach a ring shaped magnet to each one. With the magnets being secured to the bottom of the brackets, they'd hopefully be little shoes that...

    Solar panel math help

Lets take a panel like this for example. Here's the specs: Max. power voltage(Vmp): 18±5% Max. power current(Imp): 10±5% Open circuit voltage(Voc): 21.6±5% Short circuit current(Isc): 10.5A Series fuse rating: 15A Max. system voltage: 1000V DC J-Box IP Rating: IP65 If I want to use a panel to...

Any magnetic mounts for solar panels?

I have a gazebo type structure over my BBQ and I want to add a couple 200W~ solar panels on top. It's a solid metal roof and I don't want to drill through it. Wondering if some type of magnetic or adhesive mount exists.

Considering EcoFlow Delta 1300 for emergency preparedness, could use some feedback.

Assuming you have a Champion 2800/3100W gas generator like mine, you can charge both Deltas at the same time with this adapter. AFAIK, all larger SoGen inverters are power hungry including the new AC200. Imagine running your champion generator to charge your laptop. It's possible but...

Charging different solar generators from one larger solar array?

    The R600 is 10-25VDC, 12A max, 200W max The Delta is 10-65VDC, 10A max, 400W max The AC200 is 35-150VDC, 12A max, 700W max

Charging different solar generators from one larger solar array?

I was planning on buying these new panels for this project. I'd be able to wire 6 in series for the AC200. 3 in series for the Delta. I guess only 1 panel for the R600. So ideally, if I could wire the 6 in series and then dial back the voltage for the smaller generators, then it would be perfect...

Charging different solar generators from one larger solar array?

Some would probably agree that 10 is too many. Lol If I put six 180W BougeRV panels on a roof, I have 12 cables running down to mess with each time I want to charge something different. That seems less practical than sacrificing the AC200 to live under the roof and just be a charge slave for the...

Conductors? As in the MC4 connections?

Charging different solar generators from one larger solar array?

I definitely don't want to dedicate the AC200 to be a slave for just charging other solar generators. There's also conversion losses here. Is it possible to mount panels on a roof and then run all the cables down low to change configurations all the time? I guess I'll look into these DC-DC...

Considering EcoFlow Delta 1300 for emergency preparedness, could use some feedback.

    2. The Delta has a built-in MPPT solar charge controller so you wouldn't need another one.

Charging different solar generators from one larger solar array?

Is there a way to dial back the voltage on a larger solar array to charge a smaller solar generator? I want to max out an array for the Bluetti AC200 but then I can't charge any smaller solar generators like the R600 or Delta from it? Voltage regulator? Buck converter? Is this possible?

    EcoFlow R600

You said it yourself. it's a prototype and the capacity has been restricted. To me, that makes the entire test pointless but it is what it is. Their previous product, the Delta, gets around 80% and this newer battery chemistry and BMS aren't going to perform worse. I'll be getting a Max to beta...

    Bluetti AC200 & AC50S

I know, the beer glass is half full. It's just odd he didn't show half of what it can do. Hopefully there's a follow-up video. I still don't know what a 25V DC output port is for. He never showed it pull close to 700W of solar.

    Bluetti AC200 & AC50S

Retail is $1800. IGG pricing will be $1000-$1100 for super early bird. It weighs double what the Delta weighs. I also thought the video was very brief and left out a lot of good info. If Will is essentially taking credit for it, he should have had an hour long video showing everything it can do.

    *New* Inergy "Flex" Solar Generator

This is apparently being released tomorrow (or now if you're on the East coast). Still no details as to pricing or when it's going to ship. I'm guessing the three-tier system will be about 5K lol

    Inergy AC outlet issue?

This horse has been beat for many months now. This is also spamming the Inergy thread. It's not unsafe. They've proved that with safety certifications. You likely don't even have a 3 prong polarized plug so this isn't an issue. Just sell the Delta if you won't accept the truth. You should have...
