16s chargery BMS numbers not matching reality / active balancer

I apologize. I'm not venting at you. I'm not frustrated. I'm over it. I just disagreed with your constant praises for Chargery and false (based on my personal experience) claim that they listen to customers and go out of their way to help their customers. I feel that it is a disservice to...

yawn. okay. haha. I like the caps to emphasize "your points" I ASSUME you are not getting FREE products from CHARGERY for your GENEROUS contributions. Maybe Jason should listen to Will since he did spend time to make a TWO (haha) videos to show its deficiencies. He for sure doesn't listen to...

16s chargery BMS numbers not matching reality / active balancer

I'm already there. Horrible setup/system with even worse support. Wait until you have real problems and Jason at Chargery bypasses your questions and starts giving you canned responses. I switched to batrium. Also, I have 3 of these BMS8T units (one I don't feel comfortable selling since it has...

I'll try charging them, but each one has a cell that is a ~1.9V

Chargery BMS News / UPDATE (Nov.25.2020) Ver 4.02 firmware

2-3 days, but it was hot and the exhaust fan was running so it could have been shorter. I am just going to replace all the cells and bms units. I can't deal with all the quicks and issues with these units. BTW, the one bms unit which wouldn't save settings never worked right and never was able...

Chargery BMS News / UPDATE (Nov.25.2020) Ver 4.02 firmware

You might have tested it momentarily. I have as well, it does disconnect when the voltage drops. For some reason, having the vehicle sitting for 3 days and no charging killed the batteries. ALL 4 of them. if you need pictures, I can post them here. In fact, when I return to the vehicle (in...

Chargery BMS News / UPDATE (Nov.25.2020) Ver 4.02 firmware

No loads that pull from the battery. The BMS is directly controlling the relays comming from the batteries. When the relays turn off, all power is disconnected from the vehicle. I haven't tried charging the batteries because I now need to drop the battery boxes to get to the cells. The BMS will...

Chargery BMS News / UPDATE (Nov.25.2020) Ver 4.02 firmware

Just want to give an update to this horrible BMS. Hopefully this helps others stay away from this product. My 4 200ah batteries are now dead because of this useless product. My vehicle went in for service for 3 days. Batteries where full. Fridge and other appliances were running. Apparently...

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Okay, I have tried using the same LCD and cable on two different BMS8T modules: The second module saves just fine. First unit is refusing to save settings

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Funny thing is that I have reset 4 times (and yet the values go back to my old values; ie 650mV of cell diff). Haven't reinstalled the software though.

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

I'll ask here before submitting a claim since Jason couldn't help me with my problem. Jason asked me to go online for a solution. I have 4 of the BMS8T. 1 of the 4 doesn't want to save the configuration and is defaulting to values I had set in the past. Any thoughts:

    BLS 4x 3.2V 200Ah LiFePO4 - voltage difference between cells

I wouldn't get anything from Electric Car Parts Company as well. I'm currently having to go through litigation with them. Carl sold me junk chargers; which he admitted to having problems with and therefore stopped dealing with the company. After 3 failures in less than 3 months, he tells me to...

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Hello Airtime, Thank you. I look forward to your review. Too bad they are sold out at the moment. I'm using 4 of the BMS8T, maybe that is why I might be experiencing higher than normal issues. At the moment, 1 of the 4 is giving me trouble.

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Has anyone here used the electrodacus module? They are currently out of stock, but I'm seriously considering scraping this chargery stuff for their product. Too bad I was 1 month early on purchasing the chargery BMS before Will posted his review. I 100% agree with his findings plus poor support...

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Am I the only one having problems? I have 4 of these units BMS8T. Just when I thought everything was good, problems started again. I performed the reset. recalibrated everything. Wh and Ah were showing up. I went to charge the batteries and two of the units turned off when it approached the HVD...

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Okay, I'm not sure what the deal is here, but I'm not able to set the Wh for the battery. It only lets me go negative values and not positive values. eg, only the down arrow works and not the up arrow on the display,

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Hello grizzzman. I'll find out later today when I charge. Either way, it doesn't matter since the current calibration is so off at times with too much drift. At this point, as long as it provides me with LVD and HVD protection, its fine

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

Not to derail this conversation, but this is the opposite experience I have seen with this company. FYI, I updated to 4.0 and the SOC is still showing 0% with batteries fully charged. I'm over the buggy software and responses from Chargery. I'll just have to live with the system as is and hope...

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

I don't think so. Red going to battery side. When I have a big load (50A or more), I get a negative reading. When I'm charging, I get a positive reading. Now I'm not getting much of a reading since I have to calibrate it again.

Chargery BMS now with Low Temp Cutoff

May Steve can talk to Jason at chargery. I suggested that maybe having a setting where the red button is held for 3s to force shut the BMS (and turn of the charge relay) could be an option. He says its illegal. But having a switch, with the delay board, to turn off the discharge at random is not...
