10,000 watts of solar

I learned fast to respect live pv lines. Besides making pretty arc fireworks you will also enjoy the wonderful tingling pain if you grab the pv leads in each hand if you happen to have your fingers close to the ends. It is PERFECTLY happy using your body as a patch cable :)

I do not recommend it.
One of the things you have to do is be smart enough and cautious enough that when you finally do something dumb, your caution keeps you from getting killed. Then learn from your stupidity. Generally stuff like this happens when you are in a hurry, or thinking a problem too fast or far ahead. Glad your still with us. ;)

I had no intentions of connected the lines when it happened. I was moving the cable ends out of the way while making room to add more panels. I guess the sweat on my hands (it was hot outside that day) was to attractive and made a connection.

I figured it was late enough in the day to not need to cut the breaker off..... wrong answer :)

I ALWAYS turn the pv breaker off now before I even go out to mess with the arrays.

Just curious OP, did you ever resolve this issue?

The 6000XP seems to be one of the better inverters on the market right now for those of us that don't want to spend upwards of $2k for 6kw of inverting power and after reading this thread I ended up thinking the 6000XP is likely the culprit unless there is some strange MPPT limitations going on that involve how you have your strings put into Inverter A MPPT 1 vs Inverter B MPPT 1 vs Inverter B MPPT 2 (if I read that right).

Starting to wonder if shelling out the money for a Victron Multiplus or Schneider XW Pro is better than rolling the dice on these AIO's that are never quite ready for mainstream usage from the DIY crowd.
