I have a Renogy 100 watt solar panel connected to a Wanderer solar charge controller connected to two Trojan T-105 (Flooded) batteries connected in series (+ to -) with a generic 750 watt invertor which has positive connected to one battery, and negative connected to the opposite.

When I GFCI test it reads that my hot / neutral is reversed. But I don't understand how that's possible.

This is my first solar build. I'm, obviously, not an electrician, most of my experience is with small electronics, but I did successfully build my 50 amp electrical system in a Tiny House I built. Without electrocuting myself or so much as sparking something.20200119_161615.jpg

This is posted in the wrong section of the forum.

As long as you have no ground connection and you only have a single phase in your AC system, the concept of live and neutral doesn't really mean anything. There is nothing for a neutral to be neutral against.

I apologize for posting in the wrong forum. I will read up on where to post things so I don't do that again.

Thanks for the answer. That makes sense to me.
