Is the lowest temperature used for the calculation daytime or night?
I use daytime low temperature (much warmer in my area) since there is no voltage on my strings at night.

Is this OK?

I looked at what the lowest temps are for my area and calculated for that.
There are some calculators online, I will see if I can find the link I used.

Early morning is when VOC will get you.
Cold night, then bright sun.
