12V 100Ah $129

They also have a group 31 for $100.00 which is odd as the 31 is better than a 24 yet it costs less.
The picture shows prismatic cells, they look like they are bolted and it says it has 120 amp BMS for output
$30 delivery for the group 31

Prices on cheap LiFePO4 batteries are dropping like crazy. I think the threat of future tariffs is causing some panic and the Chinese are selling as much as they can before Trump takes office. I think even with tariffs the price will continue to go down as manufacturing ramps up. I'm curious to see what prices will be in a month and in 6 months.

I'm so tempted by this. Would prefer one of the options with a metal case I can open I guess, and maybe a BT BMS. Any thoughts on the cheapest option on the USA Big River site?

Battery market is oversupplied due to EV sales faltering, partially because most of the people they work for already have one and partially due to Trump's stance on EPA requiring BEVs.

Now UNDER $100 delivered for group 31 size with 10% off coupon :

No need to pontificate on what factors may have lowered the price 😎

It's a good deal but not the same as their solar battery. Note the difference in energy between the two.

Now I am seeing $109.99 minus 10% and no free Prime shipping. Will now be $119.

Still cheap but not under $100 ☹️

That is not a photograph. Even if it had been, they make changes all the time, so short of taking it apart or perhaps an x-ray, you will not know for sure what you actually got. One would be wise to NEVER trust what is shown in those fancy computer generated promotional "images". My most recent purchase of 4 "identical" batteries, had 3 that were from a newer batch that had a different BMS than the 4th, which was the same as the ones I bought a month ago.

They also have a group 31 for $100.00 which is odd as the 31 is better than a 24 yet it costs less.
It likely has the same guts in a bigger case with more foam. Has same capacity but takes up more space. How is that "better"?

Group 31 generally stores more energy than a group 24 or 27. Generally the higher the group the better the battery. Not all 100ah batteries are created equal. If group 24 and group 31 were the exact specifications, they would not build them for the simple reason that the larger case costs more, and takes up more room when shipping meaning higher mfg. and shipping costs. Imagine how many more group 24 batteries you could get in a container compared to group 31 batteries.

You'll find detailed info on group 31 battery dimensions, features, and recommendations in the linked article. However, I'll provide a brief overview of what the term "Group 31" means on a battery, its dimensions, and its primary characteristics below.

The term "Group 31" refers to a specific classification in the Battery Council International (BCI) system, which categorizes batteries by their physical size, terminal placement, and other technical specifications. Therefore, a Group 31 battery is a battery that meets the specifications set out for this category.

The dimensions of a standard Group 31 battery typically measure approximately 13 inches in length, 6.72 inches in width, and 9.44 inches in height. However, slight variations may occur depending on the manufacturer.

Group 31 batteries are widely known for their high capacity and resilience, making them highly suitable for heavy-duty applications. Here are some of their key features:

  1. High Capacity: Group 31 batteries generally have a high power capacity, making them ideal for vehicles and machinery that require a substantial amount of power.
  2. Deep Cycle Capability: Many Group 31 batteries are designed for deep cycling, making them suitable for applications like solar energy storage or powering trolling motors where frequent charging and discharging are needed.
  3. Vibration Resistance: These batteries are often built with a robust case and robust internal components that can withstand significant amounts of vibration, making them ideal for heavy-duty vehicular use.
  4. Maintenance-free: Most Group 31 batteries available today are sealed, lead-acid batteries, which are virtually maintenance-free. This makes them a convenient choice for many applications.
Overall, the Group 31 classification on a battery refers to the BCI's specific physical and technical parameters. Batteries in this category are known for their large size, high capacity, and resilience, making them a favored choice for heavy-duty, high-power-demand applications.

I agree completely, if we are talking about lead-acid batteries for which these industry designations apply. I do not believe that there is any reason to expect conformance beyond the external case size and terminal placement with any Chinese lifpo4 battery from Amazon or other outlets. For those it is more likely packaged for convenience. If it had more capacity, it would be plastered on the label and the price would be adjusted accordingly.

😅Oddly enough the image depicts everything you can do without power. Nothing there uses any power, he's reading a book in the sun. Wine and dining on a beach with a sleeper camper? great beach outfits😅 nice find
Having ran into a low battery shutoff half way into breakfast the intrepid couple has decided to take a no power beach day. While he sits down to read the google translated manual to try and figure out what the hell "battery elements fallen out of harmony" is supposed to mean she has decided crack open a cold one cause she already knows it's gonna be hot dogs over the camp fire for dinner again.

Well, no one is holding a gun to you head so you can believe anything you want.
