Hello, I need your opinion to know if the Price paid is fair.
A friend of mine bought 2x Batteries 12V100AH lithium Bluetooth-Heat brand Hublion. Group 24 for his LTV Motorhome.
The problem is that my friend has one of these 2 batteries that is constantly blocking. they meet, by after, a specialist 12V workshop told us that we had been ripped off. My friend paid 2x 1350$ CAD (937$ US/each) for these batteries + Installation + accessories. Anyway, I found the photos of the internal design, I'd like your opinion on whether the quality of these batteries is worth the price paid.
The batteries were sold by Horizon Lussier, but other motorhome stores also sell these batteries in Quebec.

That looks like an of several hundred generic batteries with heaters in it. Nothing special enough to warrant the price.

Group 24 with blue tooth and heat should go for around $140USD for no-name brands, for one mid-grade brand like LiTime $250, and top tier brands like Epoch you are looking at around $350usd

So if he paid $937 he paid about 3x to much for what he got. If they can be returned I would and buy something else.

Links - (I am skipping no-name - if the brand sounds like a pan bouncing around on ceramic tile this is no-name)

He might be able to capacity test the battery and see if it is under spec and return it that way.

If you look on the ends with the battery posts there should be a QR code on each cell and you can see what they are actually rated at. You will have to pull the foam off. It is just a little sticky and should go back on no problem. If they are not 100/105ah cells then they were sold deceptivly and you can probably get a refund.

And if thing are like here in the states - ANYTHING at a motorhome store is 3 times what it should cost... and they charge an insane amount for any labor.

Thanks for your answer. But RV dealer don't sell low cost popular brand, because they need a markup. The store will mainly sell : Battleborn / Victron / Relion / Lithionic / Volta / Volthium / ... . My question Is, is the Hublion sold at 1350$ CAD (9837$US) seems the same assembly inside and parts quality than battleborn... and other major brand ? Or the Hublion's inside mostly look as an ruixu battery ?

Looks like any other battery -

And IMO and several of the teardown reviews I have seen other than the obviously sponsered shill Battleborn is no better than middle tier batteries - they are great at marketing but in no way deserve the price put on them. In one review they have an obvious flaw with how the positive post is bolted and it is just plain dangerous.

Battleborn and Hublion won't work better, last longer or be any more or less troublefree than a middle tier or top tier battery. The warraty on almost all of the LFP batteries in this class are 5 to 10 years. The big names will be here for that and the small ones or new ones probably won't. But anyone that buys any of these batteries should realize they are like typical computer technology and it is changing on a monthly basis...

In the place of the group 24 battery he could have gotten 2 x 12.8v100ah mini batteries or in place of the 2 x Hublion he could have gotten 12.8v 400ah battery ... all heated with blue tooth.

So, what I am saying is your Hublion looks like a heated LiTime or similar with a fancy label and price on them....

So, yes, in a word he got ripped off for that price - it should have been more like $300ish a battery for top tier verse almost $1000each.

It’s a steep price but if you’re not willing to do the research on your own and purchase through one of the most expensive options (a reseller). It is what it is.
It’s a competitive price to any other seller of that type. Go to any marine store and you would probably pay more

Lots of people support these overpriced options. I’m not one of them. Just bought a 100ah battery for $275can. But I did a bunch of shopping
