150Watt laptop - how to connect to 12V battery

Thank you! I guess I have no excuse now. Yes, that video even has a diagram. I already have a cig adapter that works with my battery, but I will now research where to buy these resistor and diode things.... that will take a while....

OK, so here is the result: I tried the solution where you connect a resistor and a diode, with various "calculations" and different values. The best I got to work was a pop from my laptop which says "this charger is too weak, buy an HP one...". So now I will use a charger with a 12V cigarette lighter connector. It is a little weak, but it works.

Computer will run on 12 volts. Does it all the time when on battery mode. Question is can it be fed directly through the charge port.

All the laptop battery packs I've dissembled for the18650s (alot) have 6 batteries. Thats 22.2 volts. It's not running off 12 volts.

Yep....there is a DC to DC converter that bumps it up.
