16,000W inverter for $88??

I saw this in the reviews section.....

REAL JUNK

this item is a joke. it fowled out immediately under a tiny load of 120v at 5 amps. That is 600 watts and it popped and gave up the smoke! Rated for 8000 watts and 16000 surge. Ha what a lie. Terrible product not fit for the scrap pile. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.

So much for the fuses being useful. This will be entertaining.

Isn't there a limit to the amount of usable AC watts you could get from a 12V DC power source? I'm sure there is a chart that show this....

It just depends on the source.
You can pull whatever you want, if the source and equipment is up to the task.

Hopefully this thing goes through a long slow painful death releasing lots of smoke in the end it would be too anticlimactic if it just quit early and not worth the money you spent on it. Of course it's probably not worth the asking price

I suggest after it burns up you remove the guts and replace them with some resistance heating strips and use the shell as a body for a small heater somewhere where firs is not a concern. thats about the best you are going to get from it.

No, I'm going to get a refund.
I purchased the extra protection, just for that purpose.
I know that it will fail, I never expected to keep it. lol

Hopefully I will have time to play with it this weekend.
But I have a job that's going to run into the weekend, so we'll see.
It might have to wait until sometime during next week.
