hello

I wish someone with experience could help.
I have 2 24v batteries with LFP 200ah cells.
One has a BMS device name JBD-SP10S009-L8S-100A-B
The other battery has a BMS device name 15300044-SP10S009-L8S-100A
both from JBD manufacturer.

I want to connect them in series to get 48v, because they are in a place with difficult access and I don't see myself pulling cables again, but I don't know if I do, they will have died on the way.
I would appreciate feedback.
Many thanks

Putting BMS-based batteries in series is not recommended unless you also include a battery balancer. Over time, the two batteries in series will become unbalanced because as soon as one battery has reached 100% state of charge (high voltage on either the battery or a cell) it cuts off the charge, leaving the other battery at a state of charge less than 100%.

If you can take the two batteries apart and reconfigure the 16 cells into a single battery that may work out better.

Thanks for the reply Jim,
It is clear that there can be a mismatch between them, but all the cells are the same and until now they were in parallel, they had an approximate dispersion of 2-3%, this is initial system dispersion and not change, it is not a headache for me. Everything is monitored cells and other data.
The question is whether the BMS-8S (detailed) from JBD, will fry or work at 48v?
Accessing the batteries is complicated, and I think I'm getting old...although I did.

I'll look around the forum to see if I can find anything more detailed about this BMS.
If it goes wrong I'll have to do it all over again.🤒
Thanks Jim
