Can you terminate 262 MCM DLO cable with Ancor 4/0 lugs? Noticed the 4/0 marine grade cable is bigger than 4/0 welding cable which Ancor makes lugs for and I was wondering if I can shove 262 MCM into the 4/0 Ancor lugs. Don't want to buy lugs just to try this out and was hoping to see if anyone had experience with this.

Since a diesel locomotive is obviously a mobile situation with the potential for vibration, I wonder how DLO is terminated for the eponymous application.

Found lugs for them just as for any other sizes, you got the long barrel and short barrel sizes ones with multiple size bolt holes with two bolt hole ones too. Found a 200' plus roll of 262 MCM for $3 a foot that I will buy for my forklift battery to power up my solar system.

I don't have direct experience but 262 MCM is larger than 4/0 so I would guess the lugs won't fit.

For future references if anyone embarks down this path of going bigger than 4/0 cable size, the 262.6MCM is barely too big for 4/0 lugs you will need 250MCM for a lug. Tried it and I'm sure if I heated up the lug I would fit it but would of melted the tin off.

Some lugs are tight with this wire for some reason, maybe it expands a little when cut.
