Ali express...they deliver every time!
Remaining cycle life...+4000.....
You are not connected to any store? HMMMM Oke then.....:...try BLS....
Ship from your cheapest price, they will ship.
Also keep the shipping costs in mind and where it need to be shipped!
Bls is 40 euro cheaper incl shipment and tax! per four!
$850 for 4 cells in the USA? That's crazy.

Amy quoted me $1200 for 8 cells, EVE and matched.

Your definition of a "bit of a premium" is different then mine ... in the case you are refering to .. that "premium" was $1400 more or 33% ... for me thats just tooo much ...
Right, I would be buying 8 cells so it would not hit me as hard. I am not criticizing you, I read your posts with great interest. I just don't think I, individually, could reproduce your deals. I don't speak Chinese. I am not familiar with all the freight terminology and ways I could get myself screwed. But most importantly, people representing large companies that can dangle the prospect of future business get much better treatment. They want your repeat business. You are going to get much better treatment than some random person who wants 4 cells and is asking a bunch of stupid questions. The thing with Amy is that she wants a good relationship with those in this group and she has a track record. I can see where for someone like you that you may not want to purchase from Amy but many of us do. Your information is extremely valuable however as it gives us an indicator of what is happening in the pricing world.

@Dhasper
I read your mentioned topic and replay with my own vision.
But in the link is a price incl shipping to the Netherlands of 670 euro for 4 cells each 280ah..
In my link it is 650 euro incl shipment.
it all depends where to buy from to your delivery address.
And how you tread them and the cycle life left.

The point of my post was not the price.

If anyone gets what seem to be second-hand cells, we post it and then watch that seller (like we are watching BLS). BLS also sent Will Prowse bad LTO cells. Will Prowse!!!!!!!!!! Do you honestly think Ghostwriter is buying used second-hand cells? Do you think Mike Caro is selling second-hand cells? Do you think Amy is selling second-hand cells? That is crazy. No one should buy from someone they think is defrauding them. That is not only stupid but perpetuates the practice.

I believe many of us have received new old stock cells. I know I did. I don't think anyone has received second hand or used cells. In my head I would classify some of the cells Grade A- or B+. There is a reason we get them so cheap. But that does not mean they were ever used.

It comes down to user expectations. Did I get a hell of a good deal even though all of my EVE cells don't test at full capacity? Yes I did compared to the cost of a NEW GRADE A+ EVE CELL.

Having said that I never liked these suppliers misleading ads. Many of them advertise cells as new Grade A stock when they clearly are not, and some put fake QR codes on the cells and claim they are original QR codes.

Yes, we all know some will remove QR codes. I suspect some sell used cells. Many certainly sell older unused cells and many I suspect sell cells that did not meet the factory cut. However, that is very different than getting used or second-hand cells. I do agree the term Grade A is heavily misused. We need to watch for NEW Grade A and we need to watch for sellers that make misrepresentations. It is in no way acceptable or to be accepted and we should hold them accountable. 100--kw did not know about two recent forum experiences with BLS and now instead of acknowledging he may have made an error he is dumping on a forum member that had a problem and saying every cell is used. It just is not true. There is always a risk but there are good sources if you pay attention.

Honestly - I am sure that the Chinese guys I am talking to in China is listening to my Chinese and going "Holy cow -- did she learn Chinese from the Chinese version of DORA THE EXPLORER" ... LOL ... I guess its the LA girl still in me that likes to shop and find bargains .. a lot of the guys out here come to me when they want to buy LiFePO4 batteries and ask me what I think about this one or that one ... I just try to find them the LOWEST price I can BUT hoping what they are telling me is what is actually going to happen - ie NEW GRADE A vs getting something hit by a train...

Sometimes you get really great batteries with that new-car smell for a great price from a vendor trying to make a sales quota for the month and sometimes you pay a premium and get something from a good company that's definitely is used ... for the most part I do an internal resistance test on all the batteries . and then randomly do an aH test on a couple to see if they will be at where they are suppose to and if it passes those 2 regardles of how it looks I mark it good or bad ... --

But going to say that 99.9% of the folks I am dealing with really cuts me no breaks and to them I'm just a random person asking the same crazy questions as everyone else ....

Getting crude and mud on us is only one part of the issue -- we have this constant wind that blows out here -- sometimes only 4-5mph then others 20-25 ... theres nothing around to slow it down -- but the issue isn't the wind -- its this fine dust/dirt/crud that just gets in everywhere --after shift when you go take a shower you just stand there for the first minute just watching all the brown water running off you and wonder how many pounds are in your lungs ... LOL...
Just to let you know it's better than here in Chaves county, New Mexico.
We are getting 30 to 40 mph winds, and the dairies pile about 6000 tons of cow manure every single day onto manure mountains. So guess what's in the brown water when you take a shower, and worse, what's in your lungs o_O
And of course the manure flies that are so big you could throw a saddle on them

My vision/thoughts on/about the lifepo4 cells from China(btw i dont think bad of them! and i dont want to speak negative about them!)

If a cell is unused lets take a 100ah cell no matter what chemestry.
It has a left over of 100ah: rated new unused.
If a used cell test for example 97ah from the original 100ah it falls into the 95-100% soh rated: new A grade.
If a used cell test for example 93ah from the original 100ah it falls into the 90-95% soh rated: A grade.
If a used cell test for 86ah from the original 100ah it falls into the 80-90% soh rated: B grade.
For li ion cells is 80% soh the minimum, you can go lower but it is not advisable.
The soh "left" has to do with the cycle life of the cell.
If a cell can deliver 4000x 100ah cycles (new unused) and its soh 100% you pay a lot.
If the same cell can deliver 4000x at 93ah(used) its soh is obvius 93% and you will pay less.

But they can sell it as new a grade, how?
Simple: the lifepo chemistry can be total drained within its V limits until there is 1% left over aka 1ah from the 100ah.
With some other chemistry you cant.
So if i am going to sell you a cell as new a grade 10ah but it was a original 100ah you can only tell by getting the fabrics IR value of the cell and compare that to the cell i sold you, with a IR meter.
But you can still use them.
All there cells are matched with IR and "left over capacity" aka State Of Health.

And yes there can be transport damage, transported upside down, monday morning measurements, faulty calibrated equipment(must be daily calibrated), or even a too large batch of a 1000 cells that checks oke in the first 500 and skip a few....ect
I also dont think they test one single cell with there highly priced yr1035 IR tester.(they are very accurate btw!!!!)
But i think more before they dismantle a battery, they test the whole device(via canbus/usb and/or via the bms) with a computer/laptop like some do with EV batteries before they buy them.
Personally i would not mind to buy cells that have a 3000 cycle life left or 80% soh, as long as it is in the price.
If i would do every day a full cycle that will give me at least 9 years!
My advice (after testing just 12.000 to 15.000 cells myself) for all that want to buy cells from a vendor, regardless the chemistry:
Make sure that the vendor has a good return/refund policy.
Have your test equipment in good running order.
Try to get the original fabric specs and not the ones from the vendor.
Perhaps Will Prowes can make a "corner" for this on his forum? So members can upload?

After receiving your cells connect them all parallel and charge them.
Even a 100a 5v psu will do...BUT!..Keep a very close eye on the V when they are almost full, please.
After charging leave them a day connected to let them balance, 2 days is better.
If there is time 14 days is optimum.
Do a valid Kelvin method IR test and volt on 0.01.
If your IR is more than 10% of the fabric specs and you payed to much, return them.
Discharge them separately/capacity test, with testers that have a cut off.
Divide your capacity with the fabric new capacity--->is soh%
BTW really new lipo4 cells needs a "special" first charging and discharging curve.

Regarding test equipment: it is advisable to have it anyway, to test your cells every one or two years or so.

Those are my thoughts on no matter what cell or vendor, i dont want to insult nobody.
Of course i want the best kwh for my euro's.
Looking forward to your replay,
With best regards Igor

PS
And I thought I had it bad with black flies in Maine
And i will put some Swedish mosquito's into the mix;)

I will look for those posts.
But it is not only one vendor.
I make mistakes also, and yes it costed me some good cells.

Thank you for pointing out.
With best regards.

I received 48 of these cells and they seem to be good. I am top balancing now, but they all seem to be well matched. They are new, but no QR codes. Well packaged and good hardware.
