3.2v 280ah cell shows zero on multimeter

Can anyone explain how does a cell drop to 0.06v cell about 3 months old and was working fine up till this morning. Always seems to show voltage a bit lower than the rest when under load but nothing too extreme.

It's in a seplos mason battery box. 16 series. It was the battery monitor software then a multimeter. On the single cell

. 06 volts across one cell indicates a dead cell. What about all the others?

The others are dead 3.2x the cells cells were reading about 47.8v

You're not making any sense.
If one cell is .06 and the whole pack is 47.8v then likely you have one bad cell.

Any pictures of the pack and cell? How are you measuring the voltage?

Sorry already started stripping the pack pack down to remove the bad cell. Let see how hard a replacement cell with be.

post pictures of the cell, could be a cell that had an internal short and just self discharghed too low. Yeah its dead once cells fall below 2.2 ish volts they are irreversibly damaged.
