Hello all,

I bought a small 30W solar panel that I plan on hooking up to a 38 Ah battery and Victron 250 VA inverter. I planned on using my dusty set of MakerbeamXL to mount it but it didn't seem to work at first because the mounting holes are too big for these tiny screws. Anyway after a bit of tinkering (squeezing the panel side between a small beam and a cube) I got a perfectly good system I think, with nothing but the Makerbeam starter kit and 4 longer beams, so I am showing it off here.

The material includes:

  • Victron BlueSolar 30Wp mono solar panel
  • A bunch of M3 nuts, M3 6mm bolts
  • 4x 750mm beam
  • 1x 300mm beam
  • 2x 50mm beam
  • 4x right angle
  • 4x corner cube
  • a large anchoring piece of wood to ensure the panel doesn't fly away
It's probably a bit pricey as far as small solar mounts go but I had it on hand and I'm just sharing that it is possible.
