I have installed the Rich Solar 400 watt kit with two 200 watt panels and 40 amp MPPT controller with the included wiring as per their instructions on my van. Paired it with two 206ah SOK batteries. Clouds, but when clear with sun directly overhead I am getting 300 to 330 watts. Was expecting better. Is this about right or was I expectiing too much? Thanks, George in Austin

If your panels are mounted flat on your roof you will loose power compared to mounting at the proper angle for your location.

Yes they are mounted flat. Suspected the angle might be an issue. Thanks
Checked and found that for Austin, TX the tilt for fixed roof facing south should be 26.1 degrees. Even allowing for my slanted driveway the panels couldn't be tilted more than 2 degress. That and the heat most likely won't see much better with these panels installed as they are.
