The VOC after temp correction is 247V and I have a long run of 350 feet to the MPPT. Does it pass the smell test that I would need 1 AWG wire to make that happen?

Many thanks in advance for any help...

We need to know the amperage to answer your question.
Also probably better to calculate with VMP.

The plan is to use a 320W panel. 5 in series and three of those in parallel for a total of 15 panels. The panel Vmp is 32.7V and VOC is 40.1. Imp is 9.79A and ISC is 10.36A.

I'll try that calculator, many thanks.

I'm not sure if I did this right or not, but this is what I got if I plugged in the right numbers...calc.jpg

700 feet round trip
163.5 volts direct current
31.08 amps
gives 2.14% voltage drop for 2 awg pure copper wire with insulation rated for 105C.

Thanks for the check. I didn't realize the single 350 foot of wire needs to be calculated as 700 feet. I'll run it like that.
