AC Disconnect when using EG4 200amp passthrough questions

While going over documentation again I see that whole home backup isn't possible in the grid-tie mode. That's fine, understandable, so now I am shifting possibly how I want to install this.

But a question comes to mind when installing it as passthrough. Does the outdoor meter+breaker box count as the AC disconnect if it's reconfigured?
Meaning I re-route the power coming out of the 200A breaker and send that to the inverter and then the output (load) wiring gets routed back to the indoor breaker box.

Does the pictured meter+breaker combo box become a code compliant solar ac disconnect?

and additionally, you can still run it as zero-export in this mode, correct?

That one is up to your utility.

Mine specifically does not allow a breaker to be used as a solar disconnect switch. The utility code here states that there must be a visual load break-- which means a disconnect box that can be opened to verify the contacts are separated.

That being said, my state has its own code, which supercedes the utility. I'm not required to have a disconnect whatsoever, as long as the revenue meter is easily accessible.

I'm using a Growatt as a pass-through. While it's not 200A like the EG4, it's the same principal. I simply don't need 200 amps, so I opted to save a few thousand dollars for a parallel inverter in the future. My meter main has three breakers inside, the 200A service disconnect, and two interlocked breakers-- 100A bypass wired directly to the house panel and 80A to the inverter. House panel also has a set of interlocked breakers, 100A and 80A.

This safely puts the entire house through the inverter, and in a case I need to service anything (or the inverter dies), I need to flip on the 100A breaker in both panels. To flip the 100A breakers, the 80A breakers must be off (interlock device).

Hope this helps you out.
