I am replacing a 100ah AGM battery with 2 x 4s 12V 120ah LifePo4 batteries in my caravan. Hoping to continue to use the current wiring. The existing charger is a compact 7A charger the wiring to the battery from the circuit board appears to be 6mm or 10AWG. Looking for recommendations on sizing of the charger at a guess the 30A charger would seem to be ok but unsure if this is underpowered or excessive? Also there is a big variation in pricing for chargers what chargers do people use/recommend?

I use the IOTA Engineering DLS line of converters with the IQ LiFePO4 module that charges according to the LiFePO4 chemistry.

Usage of existing wiring depends on the wire type (Copper vs aluminum), the length of the run and the number of amps to be pushed through. For my 55 amp converter I use 6 awg cable for a run of about 24", one way.

According to the wire calculator on the BayMarineSupply.com site, you would have around a 1% voltage drop using 10 awg wire for a 5' run from a 30 amp converter.
